Oddly I created a new accouny and it has nothing listed under all selling. Afaik there is no limits,0 feedback too. So I dunno lol. Will find out if I pass 10. Not pushing it,with 0 feedback.my older accounts still are 10/500...irritating. But I have no holds on paypal payments.

Have an account that is now 100 days past the first PP payment received. Still has the 10/$500 limit.

Just call them, if you have stealth account, just answer no to the 2 questions they ask. If you don't have stealth then answer the questions correctly and they you get the 100 item/5k a month limit

My golden rule is, never contact eBay. And I stick to it, no matter what the problem. eBay may find something in your items, your photos, your activity or behavior that you may have overlooked and that will potentially link your other accounts. So far I've had the limits lifted on all accounts, some sooner, some later.

I really don't understand the big deal on these limits. Just takes a little more work but you'll end up making a lot of very nice accounts. It's really just the way it is now so no use in complaining about it. I also agree with imjustme I never contact ebay. Just not worth the chance.

do you get an ebay message notifying you? or does it just change? So far, i've had no messages from ebay in messages.

My account is already 122 days after the first sale with 35 positive feedback and 0 Negative. Still limited to 10 items per month. There's no guarantee it will be lifted.

I called them on 1 of my accts. Mainly because I followed the guide and because nothing for sale on this account is nothing I have ever sold before. They were real nice, took them 5 mins to lift the limit...just lifted it to 25 items or 1200 a month. Then on another account, I did the verification question deal and got it automatically lifted to 100items or 5k. Gonna ride it out on my other accounts though. Got some that I am trying to build, 500 a month is ok on it. Just trying to do a hundred a week on them for a while. but he did say it resets on the first of every month regardless.

Maybe it depends on the kind of items that you're selling? DVDs?

I have set up account in mother's name, all info is correct, bank, cc, etc.. Got limit 10 items and $500 for new account. Got warning I was approaching limit, (sold 7 items so far, used clothing) with link to increase limit. Sent to page with a bunch of questions, had Mom try and answer them, only month born was valid, none of the other questions made sense, like asking who is XXX (last name)? Got a Sorry could not verify you info, please call.... Probably screwed it up for good now, I sure ain't gonna call.

I think you may be correct. Perhaps accounts selling high risk items are forever stuck at the 10 limit. Anybody here selling high risk items and had their limits increased automatically?

I don't think you're stuck with 10 forever, but most likely you need more feedback before the limit is lifted. I only sell non-brand and non-VERO items on my new accounts and have always had the limit lifted after around 90 days, on a few accounts even after 30 days.

I am only selling used/vintage clothing and have the 10 items, $500 limit this is brand new account with all legit information.

I ONLY sell vero. and no it's not dvd's or purses.... lol and it's not like dre beatz or anything

I was doing some listing on ebay Singapore recently and came across some ebay official information regarding getting these limits raised basically account needs to be over 3 months old 100 plus feedback and the high DSRs which (if memory serves) is the same requirements to avoid paypal holds.

yes they bumped me up b/c i was doing so well on there. i was recently kicked off b/c another member reported me as a fraud to them even tho i am not and they wanted me to send docs and ****. cant do that so i am starting over. shouldnt be too hard to do to get that back tho. i know how to do it and i know it will still work.

That means it will take over a year to accomplish that. At 10 items a month, thats a pretty ridiculous demand. And not everyone leaves feedback. If buying feedbacks are included then it might be easier.

I doubt it. I sell on eBay Singapore too and so far have had all my limits lifted after 90 days. I can list up to 200 items, never tried more but it's likely possible.

Its going on over 115 days since my first sale and feedback and my account is still limited to 10 items a month. I have 90 feedback. I sold some DVD's and believe that is the cause of the forever hold. My other accounts are 2 months old and I only sold stickers on there for feedback. Hopefully they will be cleared after 90 days. Is there any other way around this? :rant:

Only way to clear it directly is to chat with an agent via phone...if you can tolerate that.

Ok. I hit 100 feedback and mine raised to 30 items $600 on its own. I did not have to contact them. Its not much but at least its doing something. Im sure it will go up more. I will just keep my sales seperate on each account until they are all released. :D

I have a 2 month old stealth that I only listed in ebay motors with. The 10 item $500 limit was not affected by my listings in motors and I sold 36 items in Feb alone. My two listings I put up today both counted against my selling limits. So perhaps starting in March they have changed it to make ebay motors listings count against the limits. I have 22 active auctions going that were created in Feb and they don't count against it, just the two I listed today. Weird. :juggle:

I only have 2 accounts. I got hit with the 10 item limit right away for the first one. After I got several positive feedbacks and had a 100% score, I contacted Ebay and they raised my limit to 50. I haven't been hit with a 10 item limit on the other one yet, and I have listed more than 10 items....not yet, anyway. It's baffling.

Same for me today.

For some strange reason, none of my accounts, even new ones, have limits anymore. I can list 60 items (haven't tried more) on a 0 feedback account. And not just one, but all of them.

If man'd up and called to get the limits raised, what should I expect? Just the typical multiple choice questions?

Where are you getting that from?

When I called the asked me 2 questions:

1) What would I be selling?
I told the truth...miscellaneous items that I could buy at reasonable prices such as electronics, clothing, household items, etc...as well as "yard-sale type items" in good condition.

2) What would my processing time be? I told them the truth again 1-3 business days.

That's all that it took.

And what were your new limits after that?

500 items or $2500 a month...I imagine that it would be the same for other sellers.

On a 110 day old account with 22 feedback (100%), I was only able to list 11 items, but then I was able to sell $1100 worth of items. I sold branded portable DVD players, branded digital cameras, wireless mic systems etc... I don't really get this. As far as the amount goes, there doesn't seem to be a limit, but the number of items that I could sell is limited. :suspicious:

These BS limits make no sense at all. I have never EVER been limited in any way. so reading all of this sounds like something else is the problem. You need to dig deeper and see what you are selling or something. Its not the standard to have such ridiculous limits placed on your acounts.

The minimums for powersellers is 3k/month so how does that work? If everyone get these limits then the powerseller program would be worthless. Its NOT the norm for these limits. Its your account, how you set it up, etc. you did something wrong for sure.

If you have limits under that then you have something you did wrong or you are selling items you shouldnt be selling. Or they think you shouldnt be selling.

I sell used tools I get from auctions, stores, yard sales, etc. I have NEVER had a limit. I got the phone call yeah but no limits at all.

Check your practices as I am sure its something on your end that is causing it.
