I have recently sold a couple items that are out of my norm, and the buyers are not very active, and not paying. We know that we can't leave negative feedback for non-payments (totally unfair)
My Feedback is nearly 1,700 @ 100%. I am wondering if competition is looking to disable me from thier niche.
Is this common?

Very common. Some categories are crowded with those that are cut-throat & will do anything to get a rival taken down. No friends in business. Couple that with dip-s**t buyers that you are meeting & there's problems for an account ..
This is interesting if you decided to list out of your norm as I wonder if you took any steps to protect yourself? Did you think to make it immediate payment required? Your account sounds great but you need to protect it. Make sure you can minimize the damage where-ever possible.

You are correct, I should request Immediate payment. My norm is a slow selling product, so I have been experimenting with other products to see what works.
If I don't get a response or payment by end of day today, I will probably re-list.
I had the same problem as you and I introduced the 'immediate payment' rule. It's great, no waiting for payments or worrying that someone won't pay. It's a very useful tool and because of the items I sell I have to have it. For instance, when I didn't have it I was selling around 600 of one item a month and I would easily get 30 people who just didn't pay, very annoying.
Sometimes they pay a few hours late. As long as they don't take till the next day message them quick. If you get negative feedback take quick action. I got negative because of competition and it ruined my sales for a few days. Now its removed the buyer is banned.
