Default eBay and Half Cleaning House?

I'm not talking about the normal run of the mill stuff, it seems like accounts are being closed left and right.

I have not been hit, but some of the sellers I occasionally buy from have had their accounts closed. Feedbacks between 300-5000.

Anyone been hit or know someone who has?

I think they're getting rid of LOTS of people. I've read articles online too that tell tales of people not being able to afford the insane fees now. I think people are leaving, getting shut down for feedback, fees, ID confirmation... all of those things are upped just a little, and now ebay is paying the piper.

If they really are suffering from their doing, wouldn't they not do what they have been doing?

Otherwise, I think they just don't care.

I think they're trying to do like so many other companies have done and cut their losses, and assume they'll come out better in the end. I think the problem there though is that ebay is killing the entrepreneur spirit that made them a household name. Eventually no one will want to sell on here. I don't think the "too big to fail" mindset applies to websites.

eBay doesn't need sellers, that's why they can afford to shut down people. There's always people ready to the place of sellers.

Also probably hitting accounts who don't have ID on file, paypal limiting and these people are pissed off at these antics after doing so many good sales.

They can always get more sellers for sure - but I actually heard most people experiencing eBay easing back...

Maybe the difference for madsam is the country? USA getting harder...I know a few of my accounts got hit recently, and no...they weren't linked.

Pied Piper... Made a deal with the Mayor of a town infested with rats. Played his pipe and led the rats out of town. Mayor welched on the deal and refused to pay the piper. So, the piper played his pipe once again and led the children out of town.

Moral of the story is that eventually, one way or the other, you have to pay the piper.

So, if a person were selling counterfeits for three years and living high on the hog and then he got arrested by the FBI, people would say it was his time to "pay the piper".
