Default Need advice on shipping please!

Hello everyone,

I will need your advice how to ship items.

I do ship 4-5 items a day and item range from $50-$90.
I currently used USPS first class mail and the Signature tracking number (cost me around $4.50 each.

My question are:
1. Is it worth to have the signature confirmation?
2. Between the Signature confirmation and Insurance. Which one is better?
3. How it compare the number 2 above with small flat rate priority mail?
4. Are FedEx ground, UPS ground, or DHL any better on the price, services, time?
5. What you guy use to ship item like 5-10 oz?

Thank you for reading and please share your experience.

BlackBerry.Guy

1. No Only if it's over $250
2. Both is good for anything over $250 (up to a $100 insurance free with UPS)
3 Not sure what you mean
4. USPS has the best prices try selling items that will fit in the flat rate boxes
5. 5-10 oz if 1st class mail it's good up to 13oz.
6. Print with PayPal and delivery confirmation is free with priority or mandatory 19 cent but better then the PO rate of 70 cent

I mean between the 1st class mail + signature or Insurance and the priority Mail.

Cause I have lost some package with Priority Mail already

For 20 cents? You know the answer to that. Why would you not get signature if its 20-70 cents???

I must be missing something here. Why risk some knob saying he never received item to save 20 cents?

Man I would kill just to get a signature option, let alone one for 20 cents

IMO - At that price anything over $40 is getting a signature

What I did was ship priority mail but have lost 3 items. Now I try to do 1st class with signature. I little cheaper and have to buy shipping supply.

Between the signature and the insurance, which one is better and give you a peace of mind?

Thanks

I believe that if you insure that it requires a signature, which if true would mean that purchasing sig confirmation on an insured package would be redundant.
Can someone confirm?

No
Insurance is in "case" something happens to it. Signature Confirmation means that they have to hand the package to someone and get the signature
and delivery confirmation is they scan it as it go to the final destination which doesn't mean they actually got the package
so you can have a package with signature confirmation and no insurance and insurance with no signature confirmation
