Default Advice Needed, Should I Buy This Account?

Basically one of my friends was like he has a an account with over 400 feedback @100% and said maybe he could sell some items for me for a small charge, now I didn't get a chance to speak to him as was in a rush however I'm thinking I will try to buy account off him instead.

I am pretty sure this is a pre 07 account which I have heard has many benefits (don't know what these are) but wanted to know how valuable is this account and what would you consider paying for it if he does let me buy the account off him?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Its probably worth about $200 US

But there may be some issues when he decides he wants to make another eBay account for himself.

Think is through before you purchase.

That's exactly what I'm thinking however he is not an massive ebayer buys an item here and there and sells whatever he doesn't want so he is not earning any income so to speak.

I am going to be moving to a new address soon and was pondering whether I could get him to change the address on the ebay account to my new address so I can buy items with the account too as currently have started some stealth accounts but the addresses are of course not mine.

If he does change address and if he wants to open an account for himself would it be any good if I told him to open it under one of his other family members but before he does open it overtime I change the phone number etc too so nothing that can link to this new account?

bottom line is there any way I can totally disassociate this account from an account he wishes to create for himself.

Thanks for your valuable input.

No, not unless you can convince your friend to employ the Stealth Techniques from the Stealth Book.

Personally, I think you are way better off creating your own accounts.

That's why were here (The Forum), and with your Stealth Book and us...we will get you through it.

It has little value in my opinion. Negative value that is. Anything goes wrong and its on your biddies head. So if the account goes bad you have to fix it. You can not walk away. Even if your plan is to treat it well, you have no control over the buyers on the other end. They can bring a world of misery to an account

Unless you have a firm grasp of stealth you can bring down his account just as easy as a new one. 400 feedback and a few years old doesn't mean its bulletproof. At all.

You would be a 1000 times better off with 5 stealth accounts you made/control over his account. You are putting too much value on that feedback score and the age of the account. And not enough value on your friendship

Go stealth on your own and if it hits the fan its only on you

Good question and good advice.

Friends and business do not work.

Always preferable to make your own troubles to solve
