Just got another Cable Internet provider in my house because I when I change my MAC/IP the connection to the internet always goes out for a minute before coming back again with a new IP. I have my vonage phone and other PC's that the family uses and I can't kill their connection every time I have to switch between my accounts. I was wondering if there was a different way to stay with one Internet Provider, but when I change MAC/IP for the Internet not to go out. I don't think this is possible but might be wrong. Would rather use one Internet Provider and save the $50 a month for the second if this was possible.
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!

To separate and have the main internet uninterrupted you would need another service. I have two at my house for this. as noted above to get a new IP the system does need to reset from ISP
Depending on your ISP, you may be able to just get a second modem for less then a whole new service. I was unable to do this, but its worth asking about. I just went with the lowest speed cable for my second service so its only $20. So worth it

Thanks to both! I thought the same, but just wanted to ask. I have my second internet service up and running now so everything is going as planned. its $50 a month but that is the cheapest as we only have one cable internet service and one DSL, and DSL sucks here! Thanks again!
