Default Noticed something about new seller limits

I dont know if this been posted yet but I notices something about new seller selling limits tonight, dont know if it is a fluke or the way it is determined but

If you have a bank account attached to paypal your new seller limit on ebay will be 100 items or $5000

If you dont have a bank account attached your new seller limit on ebay will be 10 items or $550

Maybe someone else can verify this but it seems to be how it is.

This isn't the case exactly. I recently did several stealth accounts that already had a bank account verified in Paypal before even linking it to the Ebay account and they have a selling limit of 10. The selling limit has to do with age of account, feedback and DSR scores. The higher your feedback gets the more Ebay will let you list.

Nothing is certain but what I can say is that I did have the 10 items / 30 day limit and it said in order to raise this limit you must verify your identity by confirming a bank account. I did this and the limit was immediately lifted to 100 items. I did this again on another account and there was NO limit. And some other new accounts I have is 100 items / 30 days but no bank account added to PayPal. No set concrete rules really but confirming a bank account appears to do something to the limit.

Yea tokie, I can tell you thats not the case. It must have been a fluke. I always attach bank accounts to my paypal accounts first and I have been getting the 10 items limitation on every new account I make.

@tokie You probobly came across one of the few that don't have the new seller limits I've got a couple myself, it's probably some kind of glitch in their system.

Oh, my bad. I just figured being both were brand new accounts with 0 experience, sales or DSR the only difference is one I verified a bank before I signed with ebay and got 100 items or 5000 dollars and the other I didnt verify the bank and got the 10 limit.

Ahh well next time I will be sure to do more research before posting bogus information, I shall go sit in the corner now :(

@tokie,

No. Please dont go to the corner.

You made an observation and it had merit. That's what is useful. You worked out differences in new accounts. That's what posting is about....finding the info to beat ebay/paypal

No you didn't post any bogus info, I'm just saying I've come across a couple with 0 fb no bank and no limits, I sold over $1500 without a bank the first month, so my guess would be that it's some kind of glitch.

I created a new account and it skipped the 10 limit, started with 100. Weird.

Yea I started 2 more and the ones I linked and confirmed a bank account with thru paypal first got the 100 limit and the ones I did not yet confirm got the 10 item limit, must be coincidence but it is weird how they do 100 for some and 10 for others.

I confirmed a bank account on one of my 6 new accounts and it didn't raise the limit from 10 to 100. It just stayed the same - 10 items or $500/month.
