Default MC169 Suspension for no reason that I understand

I opened a new account 2 days ago. Listed one low price generic item today. Item was taken down and I was suspended for MC169. What all information could they ask for and why was I taken down? I am still very new to this.

Did you ever have another account in the past that was taken down before? What item did you list?

Yes, I did have an account that was taken down. I have all new info (ip, name, address, bank account). I was selling a PSP travel kit. A little cheap case that has a charger, headphones, screen protector, stuff. Like a $5-$10 item. I never sold an item like that before on my previous account.

Also, shipping was at $5. I don't think that would effect it but its possible I guess.

i do not think the item had anything to do with getting taken down. Something got you linked i bet, i don't know what, but i seriously doubt that 1 item got your account banned

Did you sell with no feedback? You said your account is only 2 days old.

Yes, I had zero feedback. Is that it?

I have read the Stealth Book. I thought I had no problems as long as I was selling legit items. That is just an item that I picked up at a local store. What did I do wrong?

I called in and they said it was a change in policy. All new seller accounts have to fax in ID and proof of address.

I opened 1 account 2 months ago and another account just 2 weeks ago and never had to fax any ID or address stuff to ebay. With both accounts I started to sell stuff within the first week with no feedback. And yea I have had accounts suspend in the pass, I just used different IP, address, etc. etc.

I did all that as well. I am still pretty certain they haven't linked me in anyway though. I have been reading alot of people with new accounts have been getting this. Maybe not 100% but definitely a pretty regular thing. I'm not worrying about it too much. I think some creative docs will do the trick.

I am a strong advocate of selling after gaining some feedback - some people have had success otherwise but still, you need to aim for longetivity and low risk, no?

I got that suspend too, I guess it is because I use a similar description on my item.

Is it a fully verified account with no limits?

Sorry I never responded to this. I just realized. Yes, this account is doing well right now. I have my merchant account linked. I have a selling limit of 10 items/$2000 a month on it right now. They told me that when they verified my merchant account but that it could easily be raised soon as long as I had good ratings and stuff. So the account ban really wasn't bad. Some creative docs got me back up and running smoothly.
