Default call ebay ending up suspended

Here's the story. I called Ebay to increase my selling limit but ending up got suspended. The staff told me said that my account got linked to my old account after reviewing my account. I was telling them I got only one account I have no access to other accounts they mentioned (in fact I did have those accounts). That was like a joke to me before I called them my account was fine after calling them I got suspended.

Welcome to the forums - sad to hear about that but, yeah we all have to have lessons time to time.

I still prefer to spread sales.

LOL, it's called stealth, because the idea is to stay off the radar so you're account isn't reviewed.

Asking to have your account reviewed and passing doesn't work unless you have a fairly sophisticated stealth account set-up.

I had to pass the voice verification and try and change my voice from male to female. I looked into a electronic voice changer, but didn't want to spend the money on that and just winged it.

I read though that there are possibilities of getting limits lifted by answering questions on the site? How come you had to call?

I hope the holes and secrets will be worked out soon.

But thanks for trying and thanks again for letting us know.

Never, NEVER, NEVER bring attention to your account. The whole idea of stealth is to fly under the radar.

The only way I would ever communicate with eBay is if I had no other choice - when they tell you the account is suspended. The, it pays to see if you can salvage it. Otherwise, it is best to leave well enough alone.

Better to spread sales over many accounts.

I called them because I want to increase the selling limit from 10 listings to 100 listings. I thought my account is clean but didn't realize that more time I accidentally used my old paypal account which associated with my suspended ebay account. Even used I was okay at that time didn't get suspended. I waited 90 days to get over the selling limit but they didn't automatically lift the selling limit so I have to call them up. The staff was like "Okay, you have 40 feedbacks, give me one moment to check it up let's what I can do". Then he came back to me said that my account was linked to other suspended account so he had to suspend my new account as well. I spent so much time to set up this account using my friend's information.

And, once again, we have another example of why you should never use someone else's real info...

same thing happened to me.. ..

The way I see it is that EB do not have enough staff to chase you up - BUT.. as soon as you call them - for anything, they do a scope on you and you're stuffed.

If you get limited - get another account

Your best bet to increase the selling limit on new accounts is to take the online quiz. If you don't like the first four questions, let it timeout and will get another 4.
If you do your research, you can get most of them correct for the name you used. I find the hardest question to usually be which car have you owned.

To increase my limits, I leave it to eBay, they have always eventually lifted/increased my limits.

I never notice if my limits should have alread been increased because I am already selling across multiple accounts.

Ebay has voice verification? Is that a joke? So is it better to not use a relative's information?

I would highly recommend against calling ebay also, unless there is no other way...
