I know right?

I was all like "Quantity of 50 sounds ok to start with"

and then eBay is all like "LOL! More like 10. But don't worry, we think 10 items is more than enough to make a living during these times."

and then I was all like "*Sigh* Fine.....LOL SIKE! JOKES ON YOU BROSEPH! *Pulls back curtain to reveal 6 machines running separate eBay accounts*"

and then eBay was all sad and stuff.

True story...

Are you using personal accounts and not business accounts? (10 item limit compared to 100 limit)

Personal accounts are not for "making a living". Very possible to make a living with multiple accounts but no point being suprised with 10 limits on new accounts.

10 limits quickly becomes no limits if you build a good selling history with eBay and PayPal.

Default differences between business & personal acct's

hi
what are the differences between business & personal acct's?
Are the requirements different - is it more difficult in terms of stealth.

thanks

Business accounts are given higher limits I believe, and you just click a few buttons to change it on ebay

Other than a tax registration number, they are also able to take more hits.
However, signing up for business accounts doesn't mean you should forget all rules of stealth and go full throttle.

VAT Value Added Tax it's just another rip off tax we pay in the uk but if your VAT registered as a business you can claim back what you spend on VAT

I would rather have a bunch of private accounts if I could and pay no taxes at all

would the tax reg number be identifiable i.e - could i use a dba (assumed name) open an acc and give the tax reg safely - i assume it must be in real details - or could that also be registered in dba name?

many thanks
