Did a test purchase this morning with a new account and tried to pay with an Entropay VCC. PP would not accept it no matter which way I went. Tried paying through EB and tried loading it on to PP. Advise needed please stealthers

I already have the account set up - it's just aging a little - having had bad experience with Entro I decided to do a test purchase. Did not work

I tried it before to open an account - that's in a different thread

Is Entropay dead for us?

I don't know why you keep having these problems GT, Entropay has been perfect for me and many others.

How much was the item you bought?

Under £4 and there is £10 on the card. It would not accept the number. First six digits are 4101 62.

I have an email from PP saying that VCC are fine but I cannot get one through my accounts

ILM entropay cant 'verify' your paypal account - only a bank account can do this.

I wanted to pay for an item on an account that is already verified - it just wouldn't accept it. A couple of weeks ago I tried to stealth a new account using a different EP card and as soon as I put the number in it asked for ID docs - I guess EP doesn't like GT - LOL

please keep us informed, have found entro really handy so far with 4 diff accounts, but if it looks like it is no longer any good then we all need to find another similar-priced alternative

May be best to do as several have suggested in future and keep any results in the subscribers only area in case some enterprising eb or pp employee is after employee of the month or whatever by keeping tabs on us here!

Was the card you wanted to use put on 'default card' on entropay as when I made a seller account the card did not work and I changed it to default and it worked.

I've tried it twice recently.

Once was when I tried to use it on a new buyers EB account - they went straight for ID docs (on a buyers a/c?) That was the default card.

Second was trying to pay for something by adding it as a second card. That was a new VCC

Both times failed miserably

Any ideas guys?

I never use it usually to pay for things but im sure ive done that i the past but not so recently.

GT have you been able to use it to turn accounts into seller accounts? by using it as fee payment method? - or is that what prompted them to ask you for docs?

It was an attempt at a new account. I made a seller account on **** and I used a pre-paid for that. That was OK and is now active. Strangely I haven't had to put a bank a/c on PP yet

I'll pm you Imake$
