Amazon Error when trying to set up new seller account

Trying to create new amzn stealth account. Went through the Ghost book carefully.

Set up & getting the error code -


Errors (2) * Your application to register as a merchant on Amazon has been declined.

Is my account linked or it is credit card related?

That's really a tough call - I had that happen recently and I made sure to do things unlinked. I figure it's been linked.

But then the other q that I would like to ask, did you use a vcc? perhaps the seller had given the vcc out to few people. Could also be an issue.

Either way, in my case, I did not analyze - grabbed another card and got at it again.

First one was "my card" unused on Amzn. Realised I made a mistake with the zipcode after I had input it.

So to be on the safe side - went with a fresh VCC and & its still giving the same error.
It did create an Amazon account but it just won't let me set up a seller one.

Hope it is not a link because it took forever to get set-up just right and to have to start from scratch?

Did you scrap the set-up when you got the new vcc or use the new vcc to get validated?

same thing happen to me as well, but I attached a bank account to it. You think I can still use that same bank account?

I think it is officially safe to state that "the goose is cooked" once you get that error. I have scrapped all of the info that I had from that set-up and instead opted to start afresh.
Something -triggered a warning bell in their systems and it is simply not wise to attempt to re-use any of the information because you don't know what the trigger was or is.

NEVER re-use a bank account on Am az on - won't comment on exceptions but don't do it for new accounts.

When I got this message, I tossed out ALL info (ended up using the e-mail for a diff type of account but that's another story ha - *plug pa yp al*) but I went will all new connections, e-mail, phone, vcc etc.
