Question I paid a collection letter for an outsanding ebay amount of 50 bucks 6 months ago...

I paid a collection letter for an outsanding ebay amount of 50 bucks 6 months ago and I come to log into my ebay account and the amount I owe is still there. What should I do find the receipt of the payment I sent 6 months ago and send it to ebay or pay again?

Not quite the procedure. Find the receipt and get in touch with collections giving them 7 days to have your ebay account credited with the payment. No need to be too nice. It's gross carelessness by them (Typical ).

ebay sometimes decline to accept the fact of payment being made when an account has been handed over to collections. You might try ebay direct but they usually say go back to collections.

You could try an e-mail but eb ay is notorious for still keeping the block on after payment is done. All the best.

I agree with the above.

Once it goes to the collector, in many cases depending on who the collector is they purchase the debt and ebay no longer owns it.

Go back to the collector and demand they show this is paid and that ebay reflects the payment.

Even if the collector owns it or if ebay still owns it they must by the FCRA show it to be paid if in fact is was paid.
