same reason chinese sellers get away with selling 10,000+ boxsets of dvd with 5,000+ feedback. they also pay significantly less in fees. do the math and and an average of $80 a boxset x 700 a month = $56,000 in f a k e dvds a month.

eBay is so full of sh%t,...sending out emails stating, "to ensure a safe trading environment for you and the ebay community" and then turning a blind eye to china...

i'm thinking about buying a **** copy of Rosetta Stone-Mandarin Chinese, learning how to speak and write chinese and opening up all future accounts as a china user. then, i too, can get in on all the non-scrutinized action.

it is my opinion, that if ebay was serious about keeping their system safe and "clean" they would restrict questionable china users to just selling in china, but wait,...then i couldn't get a $120 copy of P90X for $26...lol

Disclaimer: no intended offense to reputable chinese users...if you are one of the ones that are pumping sh#t through the system, then it is what it is...

These guys are merely running turn and burn accounts. Their listing + accounts will be nuked in a few days.

Fairly simple to do when you have dozens of peeps working for you - opening and moving your stuff. Most of us - well, I will simply speak for myself - are 1-2 man/woman/it ops...

eBay China has significantly different rules and regulations. Its a F U C K I N G joke if you ask me. They are selling on usa sites, so they should be following usa rules. If a chinese person travels to the usa, they still have to follow the laws, so online should be no different.

turn and burn meaning sell as much as possible then wait 6 months and take whatever you end up getting back after chargebacks etc?

They go down real quick but not before they scam tons of people and keep their money too.

I have paid for many items from China and never got them and then get the dreaded sorry they dont have any money in their account to refund you with.

I believe many get immunity from eb. If you notice many Chinese sellers have horrific feedback and yet they are left alone.

I've been trying to get a chinese user booted off ebay for the longest time now, his user ID is "hi-etech" (check this guy's feedback for a laugh) this guy has been turning and not burning for the longest time, he has 189 negs for this month alone, funny thing was, I bought something from him for 8 bucks and it took 2 weeks to get to me, I thought I was not getting it according to his 15 negs a day feedback, so I called ebay about 7 times on this guy to report his questionable at most selling practices. Ebay said they would investigate it. I asked them how they consider their company trustworthy when they have china sellers doing this to everyone. They wound up suspending my account for the complaints.

BTW looks as tho ebay is shutting down their forums in Sept, I guess their idea of having forums so they don't have to have customer service backfired on them!. lol The shareholders must have gotten real upset for them allowing people to write bad things about them on their own site. It's like me going outside my restaurant and telling people not to eat at my own place. What idiots. How in the hell did they think that was going to work?

I looked up this seller and the dude got 19k positive feedback for the entire month. 189 negative feedback out of 19k is still pretty good. The dude does huge volume sales. I hate to say but he still has a 99% positive rate.

And of course eb-ay is not going to shut this guy down, he brings in huge amounts of $$$ to eb-ay.

What goes around comes around.

Trying to boot your competition will come back to bite you.

The best way to beat your competition is to be smarter then they are with your marketing etc.

It is also a big difference if the seller is in mainland China or Hong Kong. Hong Kong sellers can get away with anything.

No they cannot, and it doesn't make a difference to ebay whether if you're from Hong Kong, China, USA, UK, or Antarctica when it comes to selling counterfeits and vero goods.
