Default Paypal limited because of noob buyer & seller

So here's the story.. I opened a new stealth a few months and to my surprise, NO SELLING LIMITS!!! YAAAAAYYYY! This happened one other time before. Ebay is soooo consistant and predictable. Anyways, I was selling quite a bit on it during the holiday season, but I slowed down some over the last week. I didn't want to keep pressing my luck. I use a PO Box address for buying and returns. I bought a few items from one seller and when I go to pay for them I get a message saying they don't ship to PO Boxes. I contact the seller and they send me an invoice on paypal. I didn't really want to do it that way but went ahead and paid. Then they contact me and say they talked to PP and they want to ship to my stealth address so they can be covered under PP Seller Protection (what a joke). I said no, I want my items shipped to my PO Box. Well, I think they called PP a few more times before they actually agreed to ship to my PO Box. I logged into my PP today and what-a-ya-know? Limited! No disputes. My account is verified.

So, PP wants me to confirm SS number, provide business info, and provide invoices. I have no idea what to do. I'm sure I could make up business info and invoices, but what do I do about the SS number? I need some help here. I got $900 in my acct and my ebay acct has no limits. Can I create a new PP acct and link it to my ebay and just wait the 6 months to get my money? Any advice is appreciated. Send a private message if needed.

Its not unreasonable for a seller to insist on shipping to PP address. All it takes is to get burned once and you wont ship to another address again

Personally, if I have a solid selling account I wont rock the boat by fighting with a seller on shipping address. I have a buying account for that

solid pod!!

I ONLY ship to PP address - I often get a different PP address to the EB address but I will only ship to the PP address or cancel the deal and do it off EB with bank transfer

Good point. I was thinking that too. I'm pretty good at learning the hard way.
Can I make a new PP acct and link it to my eb acct? And if so, does the info have to match?

If someone asks me to ship to a different address I will usually do it tho. Example.. people always want something shipped as a gift during the holiday season. If you turned down all of those sales you would lose out on quite a bit of money.

Make something 100% new. No connection. At all

Have the address one that you have access to. A PO box or whatever. Then you can buy what you want. If you never sell on that account you should be fine. Again, ZERO link in any info

The thing is I definitely want to sell on the eb acct because it doesn't have any selling limits. I don't want to use a limitless acct for just buying. I either need to get my pp acct unlimited (which I don't see happening because they want a SS number), or link a new PP acct to my eb so I can receive payments.

I hate to see a member of this forum build up to heartbreak

There isn't any good news with your situation I'm afraid - you are dead, you are no more, you are kaput.

Your choice is this. Accept what I say and move your game plan on or carry on deluding yourself that you can rescue this situation

You cannot I'm afraid

Good luck

I think I might at least try to make a new PP acct. It's worth the try. With a limited PP I can't even use the eb acct for buying. And if I can't get the original PP back, I really have no other choice.

As Granny notes, the account is dead. Unless you can supply the info they want.... You can not just add a new paypal account and all is well. Come on. You need to take that as fact

Start up a couple more. But this time have access to address. This way you can buy and sell

You learned the hard way not to rock the boat.

The best bet is too take a loss and negotiate with the buyer saying listen I know about the paypal protection, but im not at that address. I have your refund here and we can sign an agreement if you want. Now if my paypal gets limited because of you I will not be refunding him. I suggest you make it hell for him/her now and send them a letter by email stating what they just did to make them feel bad for it.

It was me that was the buyer. I bought something on a seller acct and the seller I bought from called PP a few times and I think that is what caused the limitation. There is really no other explanation. I have many accts, it just sucks that this happened to one that is less than 2 months old and has no selling limits.

All I did was buy something. I have a PO Box address on file with ebay and have things shipped there. I'm sure i'm not the only person who has things shipped to a PO Box. I didn't do anything wrong. If the seller wouldn't of called PP multiple times not knowing if they could ship to a PO Box, then PP wouldn't have reviewed my acct. I just got unlucky and bought from the wrong person. I guess I'm a noob too. I've only been selling on EB for 12 years. This is the first time I've had a PP acct limited since I started making stealth accts. I must be doing something right.

I commend you for doing so well.

But it is mentioned on the forum the risk of using an address other than the paypal address.

Been a welther of threads on the topic.

Looking back now was that purchase so worthwhile to risk your account? Sadly possibly not.

Try to not forget dealings on a stealth account involve buyer & seller. The problems come when neither party 'blend' well to make a deal.
I am truly sad this happened because as a lesson it suxs.

I couldn't agree more. The lesson I have learned is not to buy things on an account that is so valuable.

Can you explain more about this, I'm confused because of 2 things:
1. Once you get payments, money goes to your PP, not Ebay. So if you have a new PP account linked to old Ebay, how can you get money from old PP to buy things?
2. Your old PP is linked to old Ebay, after PP get limited, you open a new PP and
link to the old Ebay, the new PP will show old Ebay account information and know this seller got PP limited before, won't they limit again on this new PP account?
Please clarify this for me !
Thanks.
