Good! You are going overboard.

Your basic tenets have some merits.

You can not and should not espouse so vehemently that well made accounts will be able to sell to their limits just on the grounds they are well made.

That advice is going to be fully misunderstood by a newcomer.

You are forgetting this is a forum of different users with vastly varying abilities to operate a ebay account.

We have always AND will always qualify for any user this:

ebay has rules that they apply as they want to apply.
What works for one may not work for another.
Each and every account is treated differently in regards to how ebay deals with them.
Athough ebay applies limits for selling, there are variables in the amounts that are allowed to be sold. An ebay account is under scrutiny at all times regardless of its pristine creation.

My pristine account will be different from yours, from imjustme & unkown5454. That has to be kept under consideration to effectively sell on ebay. Everything is so different it is the same

It's well known that I do have a tendency to go overboard - points taken

well said GB

there are set standards on ebay but if one rep dont feel like been nice that day you mite just get hassles where usually you wouldn't

ultimately it is down to a rep to let it be

you cant take anything for granted and nothing is a given

we are dealing with human beings after all

remember this....do not make them nervous and always slowly increase activity

selling one item on week then 100 the next, they are going to get nervous in their never ending quest to keep ebay & paypal a safe place...*coughs* wankers

Hmmm......e Bay is a science....and a condition..

You must be able to balance both your selling and revenue limits
within a set limit of time.

I had a strong selling account of over 130 positive feedbacks,
that lasted me over a year.

Once my limits were raised, I went and listed 30 items in a row,
selling over $170 for each item, giving out second offers
for those items that reached over $200 in bids.

I learned my lesson.
e Bay likes it for you to take it and do it......slowly.......
