Default Item lost, can I claim? (no insurance covered)

I have to issue a full refund since the buyer claims that it hasn't arrived.
I didn't buy insurance for this item. Is there any way I can claim with USPS or Ebay to get my money back?

Nope. If insurance is not purchased, USPS won't reimburse you.

What do you do OR what do you not do with insurance for your items.


I cover myself for reimbursement for anything over US$50.

If I ship international I always make sure theres insurance and signature confirmation on the shipment and for domestic shipping I only put insurance if the item is valued over $300 or a very unique item. Call USPS they will open a case and give you a case number and look into it. That maybe all they do is look into it but at least there is some hope to finding it.
