Anyone else believe ebay is padding the feedback numbers?

I have had this suspicion for a long while but do to some recent newer accounts and trying to get them to 25 fb I am begging people for feedback pretty much.

I have sold 10 items on this account for 2 months for a total of 20.

This month 10 more items have sold.

Trying to get to the 25 to see if they lift my pp limits I began begging buyers to leave feedback.

In my pasting emails I nicely begged them to do so.

In the 15 messages I sent out I got 6 messages back saying they had already left feedback. So I checked and no feedback. So I again asked those 6 to please resend feedback as it is not showing up.

5 of them responded by saying they did so again.

Again, no feedback showing.

Anyone else see this happening?

Is it they are trying to keep us from getting to 25 fb so we cannot have the pp funds not held anymore?

We know they can move the fb around but for this to happen tells me they are padding the feedbacks on our accounts.

Hmm very worrying....

Could turn out to be an interesting thread folks.

yea but its 25 transactions not feedbacks according to ebay doesnt say those transactions need to leave feedback

It's been more than 90 days since your first successful sale;
You've had more than 25 sales transactions; and
You've had more than $250 in total sales.

I have more then both and found that those who said they left feedback and those who said they re did the feedback and it still did not show up.

Do you think they are purposely not allowing feedback?

And the pp holds for me have always been once I got 25 good fbs with good dsrs the pp holds were removed.

Perhap they put a time limit on that account for fb - as in the buyer can't leave fb from the purchase date upto 3 weeks or what ever time they set? what do you think?

Sandy D 03-21-2012 08:21 PM

Something is up as I just thought about it as I was trying to get as many accounts as I can up to 25fb and 90 days and starting begging for fb and noticed this once people wrote back and said "Hey, I already left your feedback".

Then when they said they left it again and it did not show up I then realized something was up.

Your post makes me think of this commercial...

"beggin beggi beggin"

Are they low priced items?

jamcocktail21 03-21-2012 09:20 PM

I have a few new accounts and all buyers left me feedback also when i send the package Print a paper A4 witch say...

Thank you for your purchase....Will appreciate your positive feedback

The thread is not about asking for feedback.

The thread is about whether ebay is not counting or posting feedbacks that have been left by buyers.

Yea sorry my beggin bit didn't help... Probably why my question was missed..

Are these low priced items your selling? I read on here recently of someone they removed all low priced feedback, but left higher priced ones. I was wondering if yours fell into that category?

Gamefreak 03-21-2012 11:32 PM

I seem to be having no problems getting feedback. Out of 13 transactions I got 10 feedback so far. I ship same day and buyer receive item in 1-3 days. Its the stupid limit that is killing me sales :(

It has NOTHING to do with getting feedback.

It is everything to do with ebay holding back feedback that was left for you.

Please read my first posting.

I was left feedback by several buyers yet it was not ever posted or counted.

I believe ebay is purposely leaving fb off.

And when you click on the customer's profile and select to see only feedback left for others, what do you see?

jamblix 03-22-2012 02:10 AM

Interesting...

I stopped asking for feedback, I always only get about 50% feedback on all accounts either way. That would be a really shady thing for eB to be doing but, if this is actually happening I would think it would have been discussed more.

I mean it's a pretty big deal for eB to be intentionally deleting or removing positive feedback left to sellers. Have you checked your buyers feedback page and clicked on feedback left to sellers tab? Maybe you can contact the buyers that said they left feedback and explain to them the situation and your predictions on what's going on and see how they respond.

KingRay 03-22-2012 04:44 AM

I would in this case just call ebay and ask them about it. Just tell them that the feedback for a few buyers are not showing up. Tell them that a few of them have said they gave me feedback but nothing shows they did. Just flat out ask them. cant hurt.

There really isnt any way for you to know for sure what is going on unless they tell you.

Thats how I get the right info when I need it. There has been some thing they know nothing about too though. lol

Please check this out. I'm curious to see if it's showing up in their "feedback left for others" page.

rsot 03-22-2012 10:10 AM

@Sandy_D - be careful about soliciting feedback - some members will left you negative or neutral if they find you as a "harassment".

I have never had eb holding back feedback...

HOLY CRAP UNKNOWN

Great idea and guess what?

Five of them are showing feedback left for me that is not showing up in my profile.

Never thought of doing this, thanks unknown for the awesome idea.

Now I know they are holding back feedback.

unkown5454 03-22-2012 02:40 PM

Proof of their scamming ways right on their own website in the open for the world to see. Hopefully you can call them and bring the pitchforks.

Take some screen shots before it's too late.

Sneakee 03-22-2012 11:43 PM

No way. Seriously? What the heck is going on?

rsot 03-23-2012 09:30 AM

Anyone else had the same deal as Sandy_D? I have not.
