They are getting his details so they can send the nasty demand letter. |
| Elijah | 04-24-2012 02:26 PM | Yes, and it still does not make any sense to me. Couldn't you just decline it since it is just for a "change of mind"? |

They are getting his details so they can send the nasty demand letter. | That demand letter wont come to me anyway it will go to a shopping mall address that was setup on this stealth. Was my first stealth I made when I didnt properly know how to setup so I will never know what the letter says.
Have read that they say not to ever sign for a letter like that etc.
Oh, Ebayorbust - Don't think you need to ask questions like have you removed the listings etc, not stupid enough to list more, we all do things then learn NOT to do them, thats life my friend! |
| NoneOther | 04-24-2012 02:36 PM | @elijah
NO, if the item was sold using BIN or Best Offer then distance selling laws apply.
Even if it was sold at auction then if they open a case e/b will find in their favour 99% of the time regardless of reason for return. |

It has been said already on the thread that if they want to get to the real you, it can easily be done.
Good luck. |
| ovidiu | 04-24-2012 02:52 PM | What I think (and I am from the US, keep that in mind).
They don't want to work hard at getting your info with court order, lawyers, all that. That stuff costs money. So it looks like they want to a) get your real (return) address out of you, and b) maybe find out if you're selling other varieties of phakes like different color/style.
As another person mentioned, just issue a refund and tell them they can keep it. Dont be under any illusion that the stealth address will protect you. It has been said already on the thread that if they want to get to the real you, it can easily be done.
True, but apparently this company is looking to get his info the easy way, so if you put up some obstacles, they may just get your account suspended and leave it at that. Consider that a cheap lesson. |
| NoneOther | 04-24-2012 03:00 PM | I would guess they already know or at least strongly suspect the registered address is bogus (its not that hard to check really) and are trying see if you are going to give up your real address.
I also think there is a definite sense of purpose in what they are doing and that they are planning to pursue this. |
| Callidus | 04-24-2012 03:05 PM | Thanks for all the tips & advice above.
Other thing I dont get is, there is 2 other people that are clearly are selling phakes, he has over 500 feedback of this product and they're not investigating that seller?! I mean 500 fb, can you imagine how many he has sold if its a 1 in 3 fb ratio!?
Just doesnt seem right for myself having only sold 100+ that they try me and not that person.. I know doesnt pull the spotlight away from me but just thinking out loud |

That's not really a good assumption as they may well be in the process of taking down everyone who is selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ of their brand |

That's not really a good assumption as they may well be in the process of taking down everyone who is selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ of their brand | Well they have about 25,000 listings of other products that are available that are CLEARLY been ⊗⊗⊗⊗d on eBay...you telling me they will take them all to the cleaners? |

| Killuminati | 04-24-2012 03:56 PM | The reason why they want your address is because they can send a letter demanding money and a large sum it is usally a scare tactic |

UPDATE:
The agent for the company obviously received the item but have opened a case on eBay, stating they have changed their mind and would like to return it.
They have also put a message in with the case, it states; "Dear Seller, Thank you for my recent purchase, which has now arrived. However, my daughter seems to have changed her mind, and decided to purchase a different item in a different colour. I am happy to post this back to you, however, are you able to give me your address to post it to? Sorry for any inconvenience caused, please inform me when the amount it refunded. Looking forward to your reply."
This account was my first ever account I made when learnt stealth and the address is a shopping mall address with a made up name.
Do I accept or decline the return request OR any advice on what to do? | Interesting how the person wants a return - with a made up story?? hmm maybe they know you can tell who they are just by the name.
Obvious tactic to get your address, but they can go through ebay in obtaining an address, perhaps looking for a faster way of dealing the matter at hand.
Another thing that just crossed my mind could this not be some competition messing about with people?
I think you should check the address you sent it to again - tap that into googe see if you can get street view image or just google the address see if anything solid comes up bro.
Just a thought. :bored: |
| Killuminati | 04-24-2012 04:07 PM | If you have sold alot they can take it further to the court and go through all your transactions for proof and evidence and plus they also have the item but remember they need to put money in to this |

Just a thought. :bored: | I seem to remember he already checked the address he sent it to and it's the company's registered head office. I think he also said the email address for the buyer was from the companies registered domain name too. |
without reading the posts!
like ebayorbust said, let them keep the item, refund in full, send em a nice message and be done with it
move on,not worth the risk davey |

They don't need to take it through civil court, that would only be for breach of copyright.
Selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ goods in the UK is a criminal offence, by involving the appropriate authorities it could well become a criminal matter. |
| Callidus | 04-24-2012 04:16 PM | Thankful, I got a vero warning a long time ago and was told to contact the same email address of the person that has bought from me.
It isn't someone messing about.
GTB - thats exactly what I will do, just reject the return, tell them to keep the item quickly go onto Paypal and click refund and be done with it. |
lay low for a while lol
all the best |
| Thankful | 04-24-2012 04:21 PM | Yeah gtb is right man lay low to show them your done with it. |
| mercurial333 | 04-24-2012 07:21 PM | Couldn't image selling this stuff. Having to deal with Customs problems, Ebay trying to take you down, the Vero member trying to take you down, other law organizations, customers trying to take you down.
It's like all the little kids want your pie, lol | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 10:55 PM. | |
