Sold to the wrong person..

Hi all,

I know people will probably slate me for this however... I do sell vero, now I am selling on a FULL STEALTH account.

Someone from the brand I am selling has bought something from me and I have NOT realised that that were from that company until after I have sent it.

What is the next thing that happens, I'm not too worried as im completely stealth however my account will probably just go down right?

However, this person from this particular brand has bought off other people before as they have been left feedback and they have clearly sold ⊗⊗⊗⊗ goods but their account is standing.

Thanks

Being stealth won't protect you. If they want to come after you - they will.

I could have sworn I read in one of your posts that you didnt sell vero any more after you got a MC019 on one of your accounts for a phone case?

Callidus 04-21-2012 12:42 PM

So why wouldn't stealth protect me? Defeats the whole idea of stealth right?

NoneOther 04-21-2012 01:01 PM

Stealth only hides your true identity from e/b & p/p.

Everything behind stealth i.e. bank accounts & e/pay vcc's is your real info and you can be traced from this if the right authorities are involved e.g. police, trading standards, HMRC.

If the rights owner decides to take it further they can involve trading standards and then you have a whole world of pain ahead.

Are you really that naive?

You really need to re-assess your business model before you end up getting you ass sued (or worse).

NoneOther 04-21-2012 01:15 PM

Unfortunately a lot of people on here seem to think the same way, that stealth is a 'get out of jail free" card so they can sell ⊗⊗⊗⊗ stuff with immunity.

Callidus 04-21-2012 01:19 PM

I am not that naive and no I dont know why I put that above about stealth!

Anyway, I need to hope and pray it isnt taken further!

There is ONLY ONE reason that an Agent from a Particular brand would buy From you,,,and that is to Prosecute, Plain and simple,,,If all they wanted to do was to get you off Ebay, they simply would have reported your account throught the VERO Program and then ask ebay to boot the account,,,This Happens EVERY Day,,,,,,

After they Buy from you,,the FIRST thing the do is ask Ebay to provide them with the Exact number of those Items that that account has sold,,Then they try to link that account to Past Active and Suspended Ebay accounts,,(You would be surprised how EASILY they can do this,,,Just think how many Bank accounts you have opened and Closed at the SAME Bank) if the total number of Items you have sold is big Enough,,,then they will go out and get a Court orders to force the Banks attached to those Paypal accouts to give up ALL their Information on those accounts,,,,and They will,,,GUARANTEED,,,then comes a Knock on your Door,,maybe a Little Chase,,and finally a NEW set of Bracelets,,,

Now NONE of this will happen if you only sold a Few Peices,,,and PLEASE DO not ASK WHAT A few is,,,Because EVERY Brand/Item is Different,,,besides only the Brand knows that, and they can change that at any time

Good Luck

GTB 04-21-2012 01:33 PM

davey how do you know it was the brand owner?

Callidus 04-21-2012 01:37 PM

Her username was the brand name and her email was joe.bloggs@brandname. com!!

also the address that is on there I googled and it is the HQ of the company...

Looks like I have a bumpy ride ahead of me!

Thanks for advice guys looks like I am well and truly done with !

unkown5454 04-21-2012 01:39 PM

^^^ Wow, at least pay attention to what you are doing. :deadhorse:

Callidus 04-21-2012 01:40 PM

Makes no odds unknown5454 I have not noticed and thats that, anyone under a false email could buy from you at anytime and you wouldn't know about it.

Thankful 04-21-2012 01:42 PM

It's easy to miss emails when you have alot of orders.

unkown5454 04-21-2012 01:47 PM

You also said their feedback tells the story...yet you never bothered to check?

Thankful 04-21-2012 01:48 PM

Did you send it today by the way? and how was it sent? worth giving royal mail a call to see if its in the depot still.

Callidus 04-21-2012 01:53 PM

I sent it on the 18th and I clicked on a different page of orders and just out corner of my eye saw the email and thought ****!

It's done and I'll just have to wait it out and pray to someone upstairs they don't come hunting!

NoneOther 04-21-2012 01:56 PM

Only time will tell now.

It could be weeks or even months before anything comes of it, if at all.

Depending on who gets involved it takes time for them to investigate and compile a case.

If they do go after you then the first you will know about it is probably when they turn up on your doorstep, not before.

Sneakee 04-21-2012 02:05 PM

It really confuses me when people say vero instead of phake.

For a second I thought you were in trouble just because you sold goods belonging to a certain company.

Keep us updated.

Callidus 04-21-2012 02:08 PM

Let's see what happens!

Yes they are not the same but it has become the 'norm' for people to use the term ve ro when referring to ⊗⊗⊗⊗ items.

Two very different violations with two very different possible outcomes.

slapped 04-21-2012 02:18 PM

As I have said MANY times before,,,It's ALL Numbers,,,,

It will cost that Company a Certain amount of Money to Investigate and Prosecute this Case,,,

Now all that Company really wants to know is,,,,Have you Sold enough of these Items to Make it worth their While to spend the time and money it will take them to get you

If not,,,they will simply Violate your account throught the VERO Program

I know but it still annoys me. Because then there are people who sell vero and people assume they are selling phakes so they have to clarify that they aren't.

I almost think it's a mental thing. Like it makes someone feel better to say "I sell veros" rather than "I sell counterfeits" which sounds bad.
