Default now need verified paypal to sell? any way around it?

hi, i made a couple stealth accounts. i used entropay gift cards as the credit card thing, i had pins sent to the sim cards they were registered to.

right at the end it asked me to to also link my bank account details to the paypal... so im assuming it has to be verified.

i done this 3x and it happened on three occasions.

this takes the cake as i want about 10 stealth accounts, at least wanna list 4-5 items a day from 4-5 different accounts.

has this happened to you? as about 2-3weeks ago this wasnt an issue,

regards.

p.s - any ways around it? i can use a different IP and a different computer too...

I posted on the very same thing not long ago:

http://www.aspkin.com/forums/subscri...n-process.html

To summarise what I said in the thread above:

Yes, it is annoying that they ask for a bank account to be linked (or a verified PP account, which is effectively the same thing) to sell, as bank accounts are more bother to arrange.

I have recently opened a number of accounts, all have required me to have either a verified Paypal account and/or bank details to sell. This is with the exception of one single account which I was able to list items for sale immediately - I do not know why this account was the exception to the rule as I didn't do anything in the sign up process any differently to the other accounts - random!

All UK e/b accounts require a fully verified p/p account in order to sell.

There is no way around it.

No, they don't. As I've stated above, I have one that I am selling on at the moment and one that was created within the last two or three weeks.

Then you have something unique or an anomaly. How long it will last like that is unknown but I'm sure e/b will pick up on it very soon.

Under normal circumstances a fully verified p/p account IS required to sell on e/b UK, that is a fact. Your 'unique' account is not the norm and the requirement to have a verified p/p is not applied randomly to new accounts.

Out of interest how are you receiving payment if you don't have a p/p attached?

He never said that he did not have a PayPal account attached. He just said that it did not need to have a verified PayPal account attached. So maybe he recieves money into an account without having a bank account attached.

The simple fact is you CAN sell without a verified paypal.

HOWEVER you will get shut down in no time. Not a solid business model. Also if you try sell anything branded they tend to get shut down straight away.

So the answer is no....you need a verified payal...therefore need to add a bank account & verify the 2 deposits on each individual paypal account.

I know for a fact you can sell without being verified and sell branded stuff as i know someone that does it on a regular basis....but that is far too crooked for me to evn think about doing.

Again Imakemoney said it CAN be done - I have done it on other platforms BUT it`s not secure - you never know when eb+pp combo will catch on and OWN you. Why bother with the risk? Verify that sh*t.

This is the current situation with the account in question - a Paypal account is attached, just not verified. I've only sold about £120's worth of items on it over the two or three week period.

Oddly, the Paypal account which is attached to it was limited about 10 days ago but they have only asked for proof of address, not photo ID or proof of ownership of the items being sold. The eBay account is fine, I can still list and sell albeit it only 10 items per month.

The start of a slippery slope imo.

Your playing Russian Roulette with a loaded gun.

Why risk perfectly good accounts for the sake of a basic bank account?

Even adding a saver is a worthwhile alternative, at least the account would get verified.

Accounts are getting more and more difficult to set up and maintain, you should take good care of the ones you have now.
