Default Sometimes cases are opened & resloved => still considered bad performance?

A buyer just opened case that item hasn't arrived. (I got mad because he should have told me first).

My question is: If sometimes (like once for 1 or 2 months) cases are opened because items don't arrive, after I resolve the problem, is this still considered bad performance with Ebay?

If I contact this buyer and ask him to close the case first, then I refund (if he agrees), does this make any different in Ebay's eyes?

Thanks.

No - It's still a case opened and as far as I am aware it still counts against you - it's a real pain

If a case is opened for whatever reason it counts against your performance standards no matter how quickly you resolve it.

They are not taken off or discounted at any time.

With this method, I wonder how many real accounts there are on Ebay if there is no stealth.

Anything counterproductive to ebay's expectatons/rules/dreams/fantasies is a mark against the account.

Take for example listing violations. They do drop off the sellers' dashboard. But that info is retained on ebay's side. Can still come against the account at a later stage.

Gone but not forgotten.

EVER

As far as e/b and p/p are concerned there is no such thing as rehabilitation of offenders.

Your record will never be expunged.

As many on here have found out the hard way.

If you answer case really fast sometimes they will remove case of buyer never made contact. Basically not counting against you...

So it's not even on your cases history?
