Default How to Block outgoing echeck?

While sending a partial refund to a buyer paypal decided to send it as an echeck instead of using my balance. My bank has my real name and paypal is stealth name so the names will not match. What should be my next step? I called my bank and they informed me that they will release my name.
What is my best option from here....over $3,000 sitting in the account.
Your help is gonna save my life.
Thanks so much!
Ashely

What?????????????????????????????????????? The bank said they would tell a third party
a name? That is breaking the law.
Which Canadian bank is this?

I know it's scary with this much money involved. All you should do is let the transaction happen.

I'll reply to your pm too

A refund should be ok - tends to be more acceptable. Only time will tell though so patiently await ...am not a fan of echecks though but it`s ok.

I'm thinking there must be a reason why they did not use your balance. Was the refund in a different currency? Did you have any holds on your balance?

If your eCheck fails for a large amount you can EXPECT to have issues with your pp account....

Then that's the reason they did not touch your PP balance, as it would appear that you did not have the refund amount in the correct currency. Let us know how you get on...

You could have just called Paypal immediately and had them cancel your echeck payment when you just found out about it, but now it's too late since the money's already on its way.

Yeah I thought about that but I heard that it was not possible to cancel an outgoing echeck. Is it possible? Have you ever done it?
