Good to verify account with bank details and will card work to verify card portion? Could be 2 in 1

You can fill up these cards at walmart, with a credit card right? Seems like an easy way to get rid of prepaid/gift cards?

Yes, I used this card to subscibed to eb store (lower FVF fee with auction).
You can get a card in your real information, then create subaccount with stealth info. You can create a different name, address for subaccount.

Just created a subaccount, address can be the same or different (good for stealth), and phone needs to be different.
Subaccount also has a different card and number.

Why you want more than one account while you can create 4 additional subaccounts unless you want more than 5 different cards.
Each subaccount has its own card and number, name and billing address selected on your own.

I believe that user is looking for another separate "bank" account number attached to each sub account.

I made a sub account to see if it would give me another account number (not card#) and it does not. You only get one account number.

Haven't tried to sign up for another totally separate account , but my guess is you can't do that. A simple check of the ssn in their system would likely prevent that

If this is true, thanks for the idea. I will try it out on a bunch of gift cards. I was trying Square but they banned me for using too much "prepaid cards".

I will have to look into it.

And nothing is wrong with bluebird, American Express is just cashing in on the many millions of people who dont have a traditional bank account, aka brick and mortar bank.

If I owned American Express, I would do the same. Just another prepaid debit card for the masses.

AmEx is constantly trying to up its popularity. Its fees on merchants are a bit higher than Visa and MC so its a constant battle.

Walmart and amex are in bed with this deal. I think this is targeting lower income/college students. Cash your check on Fri, head to walmart to pregame or get supplys for the night, add 300$ into your account. Bingo. Win Win for both. Amex gets more banking users and walmart gets more traffic.

I was thinking of the higher fees though. I wonder if walmart amex fees were lowered because of this....

at least I verified paypal through them, but I called them yesterday and asked about opening many accounts on one name, they said no/ one account per name

I was thinking If I close account, can I open new account on the same name and get new bank account ?

you can have ONE "parent account" and 4 sub accounts which means 4 extra cards say for your kids but they will all have the same routing & account #.. Bluebird also only allows one parent account per social security $ it it's only good for one stealth account,

so if your stealth account gets banned which is attached to your bluebird account, just call up amex and request to have the number on your account changed due to unaurthorized usage and there you go, your all set for another stealth account.

Update. I was able to get my account verified as well as lift my limits with the card. Three days later, I sent $30 from PP to it then went for a $160 and it worked fine.
