Activity: 0% Longevity: 65% | | Has anyone found success with stealth?
I've recently been banned from eBay, and I've contacted them for them to just fob me off. I'm studying the stealth guide at the moment but just wanted to see if anyone could share any successful stealth experiences.
By successful stealth experience I mean businesses that got back on eBay selling volume.

hehe are you kidding me
we wouldnt be here other wise mate
yes we came here as we got banned or other
i kept on trying to stealth myself... failed accounts over and over and over
i got the book and have started earning money again
my circumstances found me out of work, banned from ebay and almost broke, almost lost my home car and everything
once i was earning again i could creep back up the ladder
have lost stealth accounts along the way but is only down to my own faults slip up and errors
it can be a long road....but one well worth the trip
some paitence and you can be back on track
you will want to rant and rave... and it may get a little frustrating if you come accross a difficult hurdle... but dont forget we have all been in the same boat at some point
and dont forget now your in stealth mode, dont be posting any personal info, your name or anything like that, if you have to post about a situation you find yourself in keep it business info based only no personal info
you should do ok... and dont get cocky, if you have the book read it, dont think thats it aww that easy enough... read it again, not everything in the book will apply to you if you uk but its still an education... then just when you think you have it sorted read it again LOL
you will more than likely always need to look back on
and dont think now your going stealth everything will just fall into place and be cool
you still have to operate in a 100% proper manner... mess up getting limitations, negatives, warnings and poof your gone
1st things 1st best thing you could have done is get the book
get reading, make notes, think it through
read it again and again
good luck and if you get stuck... you can rest assured someone will have already asked the question your about to... search and read other peoples input here, its very educational just reading other members issues and how they are resolved or not
and ask the members for help

Zak. | For sure. We have users here who have gained power-seller status & TRS.
This is not just in the USA but also UK & Australia. Others run multiple accounts
Look at it this way, Zak. If you can grasp the concepts, apply them & operate correctly, you could achieve whatever you want.
It's not easy. It is hard work. But it's such a great kick in the face of ebay to earn that PS badge or TRS badge.
It's as good as selling on an account & slowly but surely & getting more feedback thus proving to yourself you deserve being an ebay seller. |

there is nothing but success that can be found here HOWEVER it is very important to read first. I would suggest reading around for a month, soaking up all the info and then doing your thing. I bought my first 2 accounts, now I make them on my own. There is nothing worse than buying/creating an account and then realizing you made a stupid mistake to get it shut down. Research, research, research!

Zak. | Stealth to me isnt just about selling volume as a sign of success.
Its about underwriting your income.
I would far prefer 10 accounts generating Ł1k a month than 1 account generating Ł10k a month as the risk is far less if one goes down and will not effect your livelyhood as it does when your first main account gets taken away from you.
Stealth is protection from this pure and simple.

Thanks for all the replies guys that's exactly what I was after.
As I mentioned in another thread I have another two accounts - both will have been linked but I haven't been restricted yet. However with one of these accounts its due to go below standard 20th Jan. Once it's below standard I won't be able to close this account so is it worth closing it myself or do I let ebay ban me?

Never ever close accounts yourself, always leave that to e/b and p/p.
Old accounts are worth hanging on to, given time to mature/mend they can be revived successfully, with due care.

If you get to the stage where you don't learn something new stealth related every day then you will have become complacent about it and will come undone sooner rather than later.
The game changes all the time and only those on top of it will continue to avoid the pitfalls.
Education never stops

OK I don't want to spam the forum with new topics for every question so heres another one:
With regards to the address the book recommends either using a family / freinds address, renting an address, or creating a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address that belongs to a big box store like ASDA.
My question is I've only got a couple of addresses I can get access to that belong to family members, and I can't find any company which will let me rent an address for a decent price.
So in order to get the 5 / 10 / 15 stealth accounts running as recommended I would have to use the ASDA addresses, but I won't have access to these obviously so when eBay send me a letter with a code through the post to increase my limit I won't have this available - what are my options at this stage?
Zak.

Zak. | Apply some lateral thinking, there are many alternative options available.

Yes, this is in the book.
Please bear in mind the book was written some time ago.
Users on the forum have found it more expedient to have access to a real address. This is what NoneOther meant by thinking laterally.
If your account was not stealth, I am sure you would have access to your address? The fact the account is stealth is even more reason to be as real as possible to the eyes of ebay/paypal.
Do you agree?

Zak. | To decide at this stage of your stealthing to run numerous accounts is commendable.
It may be more expedient to start with say one or at most 2 accounts. That way you can factor in costs of having rental addresses. Doing that would allow you to find the many available addresses suitable for usage.
What have you done about returns of items? Have you considered that?
At this point, you are tweaking the plan to go on to sell well. |

Do you agree? | Thanks for clarifying that. I was just ordering a pre-paid card registered to Mcdonalds address. I saw your message just before confirming the payment.
Yeah my account was not stealth, and I obviously have access to my home address - so from what I understand you're telling me to register the first account at my home address?
Zak.
