Yes, I called ebay about 5 times asked the agent to transfer me to Trust & Safety, she said she was T&S, I told her she was a liar since she couldnt even read the notes on the case - I said transfer me to T&S and she did. T&S took my info said they will investigate and call me back next day - never heard back from them. Later, I called another agent and they said ebay was investigating this guy but they could not give me details about the case. I asked if PP knows about the investigation. She says yes PP can see everything on ebay systems. So I call up PP for the 6th time, ask them if they can check the ebay case, the guy says they are 2 separate companies and have no tools to see anything on the ebay side.

After spending about 6 hours in all with eb/pp, it just isnt worth it any more so I give up. I did call a lawyer, he says case would have to be brought in France against the scammer so really is no way.

ebay is the most shocking up company on earth with customer service. You maybe have half a chance of getting someone with half a brain if you are platinum reseller. Otherwise you are wasting your time.

Yes, he actually either has another account or else a partner. The partner bought some expensive shoes from another seller.

BTW, here is a tip that might prevent you or others from getting scammed. After all these problems I decided to investigate this guy myself. So I looked at his order and checked his phone number. It actually begins with 361 = country code Hungary + city code Budapest. His address is in France. So right there I should have known this guy was going to be trouble. There are plenty of tables that show all the phone codes you can google them.

you know, if i am still legit i would fight with him till the end, with no questions, but being stealth makes me loose my balls. i am afraid that ebay can link my accounts when they come to take a close look: all registered within 1-2 months, all new seller accounts, all selling more or less similar stuff, all got cases opened from this guy. so i refunded him on some of the accounts just to avoid any potential risk, on two accounts, the minute i said no he escalated the cases to ebay, telling me he is sitting in Ukraine, can't ship it back, and that he'll do his best to make me regret. yeah, that is the story so far.

A few things Ukraine is not Russian for those of you that got it confused. I account set up Russia -yes-sell-crazy mark ups!!! Ukraine - blocked-no sale to this country. Most of my sales to Ukraine ended in some trouble.
and I agree with sommer33, if the items are legit stand your ground and if not let it go. If those are replicas and that stitch really proves it, drop the case or eB will ready those messages and will suspend your account.

Call up ebay and have them read his emails. If you can get 20 of your friends to go on his website buy his products! That are yours to buy back and call up VISA and cancel it once you get it saying you got boxes of rocks only. lol.

Dude if he emailed you on ebay they can read it. Just give them a call and say this and him not being able to ship it back. They'll see this and put it in your favor.

Or be scared and wait for the next wave of attacks from this guy! If he gets away once, he'll do it again! He has a website and does this all the time!

update: for the cases he escalated, ebay quickly decided in favor of him and closed the case. what can i say more. it is a loosing battle with ebay known as a sucking company.

i would love to! but i have a real business here to take care of and don't have that much energy - besides his website is in russian and he sits in ukraine, he would not ship to usa, and you think a Ukraine business accepts american visa? no, they don't. i'll let these mafias enjoy that couple of dollars and learn my lesson. i'm not a racist but i really hate that country now, you know, they come with that mafia attitude and mafia language, no rational no mercy.

Sure you can - takes effort but I have done this on 4 accounts when I had some loser from the US try to buy and cause me issues.

Yes I got negative feedbacks so I up my good sales and work on metrics.

Dont get bogged down by one buyer.

Yes - avoid international sales to be safe.

I know at times ebay will close a persons account for scamming others like, opening up too many cases as a buyer. And they see this as a problem and shut them down. Oh well let's just hope this guy doesn't come back too you again.

i know you meant well, i think there are different ways how you want to fix a case, i got some real useful suggestions here and i might use them in the future. like you said yourself, take the neg and work on the metrics is probably a better way to spend energy than fighting a difficult battle. most important is that i learned something from this.

Yeah report him from 4 accounts or 8 accounts! It should do something!!!! That's another thing I didn't think about.

i'll wait another 30 days until his right to leave neg feedbacks expire, then i go report him and do other stuff!

I had one customer open up a case on me, and won once, I was pretty pissed off! Cause the package didn't come on time it was international. IT was someone out of Australia. So they wanted a refund and not a reship. So I said fine! The tracking number was still stuck in the US due to customs, and once it clears customs in Australia it shows up again but I tell them in the auctions it takes up to 25 business days meaning over a month and after 3 weeks they complain still.

So after it was there, I called up paypal and said look. You can track the package and so on, they got it and kept it and I lost my money, I lost on my product, and shipping this is wrong blah blah blah blah.

Next day I got the money from that customer taken out and put back into my account!

I know one thing, when the dust settles i would get my own back

OP listen to GhostWhoWalks, he makes good points & a lot of sense.

I have been told time and time again by ebay that if a buyer actually threatens you in writing that he is going to leave negative feedback, then they will remove it.

Also i would not sell international purely for these type of situations.
If you still would like to sell international after this, just block all the dodgy scammer places lol..

As long as you got tracking numbers you can sell internationally like I did! I had 2 or 3 cases open on me wanting money back. Every time I got a problem. I wait 1 or 2 days before clicking on the email or case. It will delay it. Then I just call up ebay or paypal and say. Hey if they want the money back, they got to return it, it's on my 30 days or less policy. Now I am losing money on my product, and shipping, this is a business I run here. And those are the rules on ebay. Etc. Trust me 99% of the time they'll see it your way! And they do it in your favor. One guy had to ship the item back, and he got his refund from paypal, AND HAD TO GIVE PAYPAL A TRACKING TO SHOW HE DID SHIP IT BACK!!!! AFTER 3 WEEKS AND ME GETTING MY PRODUCT BACK, HE GOT HIS REFUND!

Most of you are like chickens, scared to call up Ebay like you guys are criminals. Call them up and report the person. I would do it on all 8 accounts!!!! What are the chances you'll get the same person on the phone 8 times??? If you do, hang up and try your call again! Simple!

The only time I lost is cause I didn't have a tracking out to California and his punk, called up his bank and they charged me $20 for a refund. Then I started to use tracking numbers with ebay's system and shipping.

But if you are scared and don't want to risk it, it's really up too you. What if this guy comes AGAIN? With a different account? And 3 friends per account? Then what?

see the biggest problem with this case the buyer claims that the item is a replica and a stich of some sort gives away that it is a replica. Buyer specified that in his email to the seller and I'm thinking that it was done through ebay messaging system. (I'm not in away way supporting counterfeiting and hate every single one of you that do sale counterfeits!) But if this is the case and OP calls ebay and get it manually reviewed, this account will be banned!

hey, i'm not selling counterfeits. i see your point but this buyer knows there probably will be no easier way to win a case if you say the item is ⊗⊗⊗⊗. i actually told him if someone can ⊗⊗⊗⊗ this well he should actually go register his own brand.
