if you sell under the £1900 in first year or like to age accounts for long time = this is one for you.

buy substantially and often in 1st year on your UK ebay and you do not get the £1900 request, your limits disappear.

I noticed this on one account a few years ago and recently noticed it on a couple of others.

so if you have an accessible address or pobox, buy your goods at that account, for extra benefits....

I would say the 1 year review is when they remove the limits. buying stuff £5-£30 each and about 20 or more items would do it....

I always sold as well on these buying accounts, so I never knew if JUST purely buying acc would get same result....

I am just giving you the results - their method of deciding, I do not know, but I guess it is about real goods not 99p stuff, so stuff you would normally buy, so the prices range all the way up, so substantial purchases will really catch their eye, stuff with tracking could be a factor, they may check the signature matches, there are various ways of achieving this..

I said £5-£30 in last post but upon checking, I did actually buy a couple of high value items eg £200....

on the 2 accs - the name is made up

it might even be automated

Good feedback oompa only thing that is interesting the £1900 receiving limit is an EU LAW so how can they just remove it without ID?

I agree actually ^^ but with limits lifted, I have gone over the limit with no request. Maybe they class tracking to an address and a signature a form of ID check? a bit like when we used to get a letter years ago ...

I would not try doing this for no reason, I wanted to point out that IF you happen to have this set up anyway, and you have goods you need to buy anyway, keep an eye out for your limits being lifted....otherwise it could be an expensive experiment...plus not everyone is able to do this, it is all legal too if you own the rights to the addresses and have an appropriate dba name too.

The way I am looking at it now is that since I need to buy anyway, I may as well try and start a no limits account, then move to another once I have acheived no limits status ...

I have a 2010 acc that achieved no limits status in 2011 and I still have not been asked for ID - I do not sell madly on it though...but obviously I still could get asked.....
