Category limits
Hi,
I need an advice on category limits. I'm a bit confused. I've sold 12pieces of genuine (not fo fo!!) software on Ebay in a months time and received 12 positive feedback. Today I wanted to list another software item and found this message at top of the page where you preview your listing before submiting. Message says: Attention sellers:
Important message
Thank you for choosing to sell on eBay.
To help protect both buyers and sellers, we may place limits on sellers' accounts. For example, we may restrict how many times a seller can list certain items within a 30-day period.
You've reached the limit for the type of item you're trying to list, so you can't list any more of these for 30 days. However, you may still list other kinds of items. These restrictions apply to all sellers, so please don't feel that we're singling you out.
If your history of selling these items has been consistently positive, we might be able to raise your limit. If you believe that you would qualify, please review our selling limits page for more information.
You may be able to list this item in 25 days.
I have this message but I can still click on list your item button. My Ebay account has no selling limits visible. It's my real account, not stealth. It's about 10 years old with over 100 100% feedback. Paypal is not stealth, fully verified, without any limits and about 10 years old as well with history of quite a few big transactions..
How do these category limits really work? Can I still list this item in my situation or should I better wait until they disappear god knows when. I have a few stealth accounts but I prefer to sell those few item left on my real account because I have no hold and can withdraw money quite quick.
Thanks for any advice!
