Verizon Fios can give different IP addresses?

If i turn off and power on, will it give different ips?


Now , I am using Verizon DSL; it will give different ip addresses by powering off and on...

It seems like your answering your own question....confused.

only some routers/services will give you a new ip if you switch on and off

try doing it and test your ip before and after you turn it off

Some connections you may need to turn off the modem for more than a minute to get a new IP as well. At one point I had frontier DSL, and if you turned off the modem and waited a minute and turned it back on there would be the same IP, but if you turned it off for a few hours you would get a new IP.

If you have tested it and it gives different IPs, you are good to go - if not, then consider dongle, phone tethering, etc.
