Default MC999 Your eBay account is restricted

Hello guys, I hope you are well.

I created account on eBay 7 days ago, and today i listed my first item and after 30 mins from listed my item i got this message from ebay:

Thanks for selling on eBay. It's important that we speak with you about recent activity on your account. Your listings have been removed until we can talk with you.

To prevent your account from being closed, please contact us within the next 48 hours using this link:

Note: You may be asked to sign in. You can always sign in from the eBay home page before clicking the link above.

We appreciate your help verifying your account as quickly as possible and welcome you as a member of our community.

I must call them ? and what they will say for me ? because i've used a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address in the signup form, so if they asked me what's your address, what i'll say ? my ⊗⊗⊗⊗ or my real address ? i did the same with my phone number.

Should i put the same information that in my PayPal account on my eBay account ?

So, do you know the solution ?
Regards
:D

First of all - the info on your eB account MUST match that on the pp account or you are ASKING for trouble.

I am thinking you listed way too quickly without a good history - and/or (you can correct me) you listed HIGH RISK item. Or you got linked ...unsure if you know the stealth methodology.

As for what they may ask, many threads about this:

http://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-su...rify-call.html

http://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-su...row-mc999.html

http://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-di...count-usa.html

http://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-su...-deadline.html

http://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-su...r-support.html

Search was based on "MC999 call"

All links aside, I realize your flag is not US or UK. Maybe look for some members who have some more insight. Read the threads, ready yourself and call in IF you think it's wise. If not, let it go and learn stealth.

Method to get around this (if you really want to avoid the MC999 call):

* Create new account stealthyness..
* Make sure EB + PP info match..
* Watch a bunch of items, purchase a few small items. If you really want to keep your account, purchase a minimum of 10 items and receive feedback for all of them.
* Wait 30+ days before even thinking about listing anything or submitting for a seller account.

You could possibly submit for a seller account before then, but I would recommend waiting the full 30+ days and just do 'buying activity' up until then. Just don't even list, this includes listing and cancelling, otherwise you'll be MC999'ed again. MC999's are terrible and are pretty much now a default for eBay on new accounts. They happen regardless of whatever you list; I've listed home / baby items, including cancelling the listing and they've been taken down just as quickly for "verification" purposes. Kind of dumb.

Sometimes I've gotten lucky by getting enough feedback in time before they check. But something I definately noticed was when feedback is below 10, you're at greater risk. My accounts with 13 feedback and such after buying are being unmolested.

I get the mc 999 on almost all my new accounts, simple call just have all the account info ready from when you created it ie name address and dob, it works a ton better if you can call from the number on the account itself and just enter the one time code, you might get lucky and get basics like do you own what you are selling or you may get some security questions try to answer them if you cant you will probably be dead but sometimes not even than.

anyway everyone creates and lists different and everyone has different advice about it but you have not mentioned alot of factors for a real good insight

I agree with danshan, I've gotten a few MC999 on new accounts that I've listed items within a week or two of opening them.

Each time I've just called eBay. They just ask some basic questions about the items you plan to sell, I usually just tell them "some old stuff around the house that I no longer need/want". Then they'll ask how many have access to the account, if you have all items on hand to be shipped, if you will be accepting paypal for payments and so on.

They are all basic easy questions, then they'll allow you to relist each item they took down, (assuming you listed all low risk items of course) and you are good to go from them on. Just continue to follow the stealth guidelines.

Long story short, just call them, it will be a 5-10 minute phone call(be sure to call from the number you've listed on the account). As long as you don't say something stupid, your account will be reinstated and they will leave you alone.

Tossing in my 0.02.

Great you guys are on top of things and have successfully called them.

I would like to remind people who see this and call to make sure you have a good working phone to call from.

And have all your account info in front of you.

Dear Caspoor,
That mc999 is a standard procedure ebay uses on all new ebay seller accounts now. I made over 20 stealth these past 3 month and 17 of those account requires me to call them. So it's nothing to be afraid of. You did everything right. But just need to call them (this is required now for all new ebay account that turns into a seller... at least in my state) they will ask you very basic questions like is this your personal item, how you going to ship it, and what type of items you planning to sell. To make you feel better, the chance of you getting your account reinstated in about 99% unless you sold a high risk item.

IMHO, if you have any problems with either eBay or PayPal account, you should call them ASAP. While speaking to a representative:
1. Have all the details of your stealth account in front of you
2. Be as calm as possible
3. Be patient and never get angry, if even he/she asks you very stupid questions
4. Explain where you obtained the items you are selling (be prepared)
5. Write down everything you tell, he/she may ask you the same questions again
If you are asked some questions you cannot answer (e.g. where did you live 10 years ago), try to give an answer to prevent other questions (e.g. I lived abroad).

Recent experience with US eB had questions such as what is the source of your items? do you have the items in hand? how will you ship? do other people use your account?

Only those questions in a recent experience - was simple

Please please use some sense with this.
Every account has different questions asked

Here is the thing.

The more it gets spoken of in a open forum the quicker this changes

BE DISCREET. Avoid the need to be transparent

with all that has been said , i think calling is the luck of the draw..depends on person that answers for ebay..u either get an easy or a hard rep
