Question Using friends Ebay accounts.

Hi, I have a question. I have one ebay account that I'm using that is my
friends with a normal limit of 5,000 to start, the they increased it to 10,000.
During that time period I was using another friends account which started
out fresh with a limit of 5,000.

The fresh account was new in October, I built up stars by buying a lot of stuff.
I also sold a lot between October and December 2012. My star ratings were
all positive from sales star rating on that account now is 79. I made about 5,000 between this time.

They did a review of the account like they do on a monthly basis and dropped
my selling limit to 50 items and 1,500 for sales.

Everything was shipped perfect, communication perfect, etc. no cases open.
Why would they drop the limit like this? Is it due to the fact that I sold a lot
in a short period of time?

So I jumped to my other friends account that I used from Late November to know. The 10,000 limit they gave. In two months I made 6,000 on it. Today they did a review and dropped my selling limit to the same as the first account. Again no problems with shipping, description, etc. This account already had been open for three months as well. The only thing I was thinking is that I only had 55 stars.

These are both legit accounts with legit Paypal.

Please help anyone.

THanks.

Some people have had reports of having issues when using the apps - they say just not to use them anyway.

Both accounts are being accessed by VMWare Fusion using Linxu/Ubuntu as well I change the address in my router for both accounts. The first account I got the limit after about three months. Then I jumped onto my other friends account and the same thing happened after two months. I don't use the app to do anything I use the virtual computer. Is it possible that I don't have enough stars. They do mention in the review that it has to do with a low seller rating of feedback compared to how much I have sold. One account 75 stars sold 200 items the other account 55 stars sold about 300 items.

One issue with the most recent account is that the tracking is not showing up for a lot of items, meaning the post office is not updating the tracking I did have three people in one month open up cases because the items did not arrive in estimated time. All cases worked out in my favor because the item showed.

Maybe this is why?

Any thoughts, thanks!

Are you keeping track of the IP's? Just because they are different one time, does not mean they will continueously be different.

It may be vary well lowering since you are not meeting that expectation. Just like how you have to push the limits to get it "lifted" it may be doing the reverse.

Delivery confirmation is not the same a tracking. You can not get hurt (to my knowledge) that your package is not being scanned IF you are using the actual trackinf service.

Ill stop you right at the thread title:

Using friends Ebay accounts = They wont be your friends for much longer.

Its highly recommended that you DO NOT use family/friends accounts.

Totally agree with CJ.

Avoid using friends or relatives details.

Avoid using their account.

If you think either of these are good methods, you need to read the forum a lot more.

I bought the accounts off my friends and have signed contracts with both
of them. No plan to make the 20,000 on either account.

I would recommend to you that you start making some accounts if you haven't already, even though you have these accounts you purchased there is no guarantee they will last.

@OP, whatever you are doing is DESTROYING your friends' accounts - limits LOWERED on both?!? Your business model might be ok but perhaps product is dangerous....?

Stop abusing your friends account.

He may need it some day himself and you will ruin it for him.

No need with all the plans laid out here that you need to use his/her account at all.

What ever agreement you made better indemnify you from any liability because eb & pp DO NOT need a reason to suspend an account nor do they have to account for any action they take. They are totally in control and you are without recourse. The good people here have found a work around. OP, might want to heed the wonderful advice given. I can tell you from experience that using a friend 's account is deadly for many, many reasons none of which are good.

When they get a tax lien on their homes because your ruined their name, credit and because YOU owe the IRS...I assure you....that piece of paper will mean nothing when they try to sue you or prosecute you.

Friends come and go.
A SSN is for life.
They will most likely try to save their name before your friendship.
