PP ask about business license etc
 

Hi,

Few days ago my pp account has been limited and I received email from pp and they ask about additional documents.

Original email from PP:

Please provide a copy of each of the following:

- Original receipts or invoices referencing your purchase or acquisition of
the items you are selling (" my product ") , along with the name and telephone number
of your supplier(s).

- Please provide us with more information about your business. Please
submit copies of your business license as well as any other documents or
forms approved by and filed with the government in the location where your
business operates.


What they mean by copies of ,, business license,, and ,, other documents or
forms approved by and filed with the government in the location where your
business operates,,



What kind of documents is this and where I can get them from ?

If you arent operating a REGISTERED business, you can call them up and explain that you are just a personal seller....have you been operating high volume? You will need agent assistance to remove this

I'm not operating registered business, account is stealth and work perfect for 1.5 year. Operating value about 15-35k a month...

With those sales you need to be a business, and if I were you I would just crate your business right away and hopefully that info will be good

They are looking for documents that show you are incorporated, and if your paypal is a business account already, hopefully the business name will be available to use

I send them business info (invoices I still preparing) but still they need more information :

- please explain spike in refunds and how you intend to avoid that in the
future

I have spike in refund because pp limited my account and I refund about 10-15 orders in 1 day.... :(

But how I can explain them to sort this out ?

Pretty self-evident ...why did you have a lot of refunds? Problems with products?

Basically I need ti give them reason why I have spike in refund.

I have to write it in the form of a letter ?
with explanation why I have spike in refund and how I will intend to avoid that in the future.

I need to find a ,,sensible,, reason...

Any advice much appreciated.

Is there a monthly volume in sales in the uk where pp UK can ask you to be incorporated?

In US anyone can run a business without being incorporated.

Is it different in UK?

I should tell them simple because my account has been limited and that why we refund all of orders from that day... :/ ?

Meanwhile prep some new accounts for the future ( if you don't have others right now ).

Surely at £15000-£35000 a month you are VAT registered?

I guess thats what they want.

I've always kept stealth accounts under the VAT threshold for that very reason (them wanting seperate VAT numbers for every account that hits)

OP might have been spooked and decided to refund the new payments made, hoping that the limitation would be lifted.

According to UK, they expect you to be a business with that volume.

UK can get spooked if transactions are over £3000 for a couple of months.

OP has gone well over the VAT reuqirements (£81000) even on making £15000 per month.

Back to your questions, if you are considering running high amounts, then business may be preferable. But that itself has problems ( logistics wise).

So how do you keep your pp account under VAT threshold?

Don't do more than 80k in a year or you have to stay under 6k a month?

What is the downside of incorporating in the uk regarding eBay?

I have read online you can hire a director for your uk company if you want more discretion. The company that incorporates your business essentially provide a name for your official documents.

Is this any good for stealth?

I send Invoices and Explanation about refunds, all seems okay but now they ask me for bank statement which will be easy to get..... BUT there is one more thing which I never expected.

Please read this is interesting how its happen ???

Email from PP:

We're sorry, but we cannot restore full access to your account until we
receive additional information.

Please provide a copy of each of the following:

- Your monthly statement for the bank account ending in .... . The
statement must show your name, address and account number exactly as they
appear in your PP account.

· We will be unable to remove the limitation from your account until you
resolve the linked account with the following email: ............@gmail.com

I bought this account over year ago which I never linked to any other accounts... also I followed all the time stealth rules..

If you bought this account from someone, they could have possibly gotten you linked to one of the other accounts, that is of course if you dont know anything about this account they are referring to.

Have you tried contacting the person you bought the account from?
Because paypal will only look at fixing your account if you resolve the negative balance.

I contacted the person who sold me the account and he said that he never created an account with that e-mail and cant be linked from his side.

For this limited account I have one PC which never before has been used for pp&eb with one user only. I use 3G dongle from Three.

I never log in from different PC and different IP.

Also I never changed passwords to pp&eb since I bought this account.

Ah ha so you have a negative balance with PP...how much is it? Story is slowly getting clearer

I dont know how much is it because me and the person from who I bought acc dont know this email and we cant check how much is there to pay..

You seem to be considering paying the negative balance?

I promise you paypal will not restore your account access if they have linked your account to another with a negative balance, whether you pay or not.

Your account is toast.

He said he has been linked to an account which he does not know about.

He bought this account from someone and it was linked to a paypal account which has a negative balance.
So he does not know the balance, because he is UNABLE to log into it.
