Good Standing Ebay/Paypal Accounts that are Accessed from IP Addresses Previously Associated with Suspended Ebay/Paypal Accounts WILL, WITHOUT DOUBT get your good Standing Ebay/Paypal Account Suspended--Gauranteed, Verified, Take it to the Bank, No Doubt About it!!!!

I paly it safe and use a password close to the user name and always keep a notebook to next to your laptop to jot down all info. I have a excel file aswell but all my info hits my note book prior to setting up all accounts. PEN and Paper is always a great back up. And place subject tabs with the name of that account so you can keep up.

stickmade 06-26-2010 11:30 AM

My passwords for my all my accounts are similar, for example account
1: windows123,
2: house123,
3: simcard321

Stuff like above, should i be worried ?

I really dont believe this..... there are thouuuuusands of big businesses out there that their employees use ebay on a daily basis and the fact that even 1 of those employees gets suspended or tries to log in via a suspended account i HIGHLYYYYY doubt that this will signal ALLL ebay users on this network suspended can you imagine that actually happened it would be chaos ????

I do believe that this is one of the many alogrithms that ebay use to suspend however its NOT the only thing, it cant be.... Can someone confirm this has actually happened to them in this scenario ????

Well to Clarify, the IP Addresses that I was reffering to would be Dynamic IP Addresses which is What Consumers get for Home use, The Corporations you Describe use a Static IP Address, Dynamic IP Addresses Change, Static Do Not.

However The IP Address Static or Dynamic Is NOT NOT The whole story, in a setting where Multiple Computers are connected to a Main Server or Networked to each other go Online they share the same IP address, However one thing they also have is a Routers Mac Address, which is assigned to a specific Group of Computers, and a Subnet mask which is also seen by Ebay, That Subnet Mask is assigned to a Specific Computer.

I do believe that you may be correct in your post, because even though Ebay Can track to a single Computer using an Ip Address with a Mac Address and a Subnet Mask, they still Cannot assume that Only 1 Person has access to that Computer.

But with a Dynamic Address However you are DONE!!!---Guaranteed!!!

Ah k, well that explains it better..... i thought so ... unless there is anyone else out there that can add to this discussion and proove me or slapped wrong ? I strongly believe that there are probably hundreds of beacons that ebay uses to track and make sure that whoever they ban is for a good reason and is in fact the right person, unique ip address is but 1 of those, just like Google has hundreds of algorithms to get you ranked to the top there is no single thing that they take into account.

P.s: Using vmware or virtualbox is like a corporate network same router external ip address but several computers each unique, different passwords, different usernames, different email addresses, different OS builds, unique browser cache, even a unique MAC ADDRESS........... the only thing is the WAN IP ADDRESS.

I may actually take a plunge and proove my theory by suspending one of my accounts and then keep using my other virtualbox accounts and see what happens......... THIS SHOULD BE FUN and answer my question and probably others as well.

:)

For iphone users a great update. I have an iphone 2g - I have broken several 3g's the screens are crap on 3g's and the break easy. After breaking my screen from dropping 3 times i went back to my 2g that i can drop over and over and it still works.

There is a new altered firmware hack that allow many of the iphone ios4 features on the iphone, 2g, 3g, and 3gs. The most noted feature on here is tethering.

You can use your now jailbroken and unlocked iphon's internet as a mobil inyternet connection use the usb sync cable from apple.

You get a new Ip every time to connect using your phone internet. Tmobile $20 unlimited internet. You get a mobile data connection unlimited.

by the way the ip address that change are dynamic. I usually use a router and change the last 2 numbers of the mac and this changes the ip address when you powercycle the cable modem. Just make sure you have seperate user names and accts in windows.

Try 300 over 3!

Wait...is it possible to be on 2 user accounts at the same time on 1 PC?

slapped 09-15-2010 10:32 AM

I Do Not think so,,,I Cannot see how you can be Accessing 2 Different User accounts at the Same time

First Edition 09-15-2010 11:55 AM

if you had two different browsers, or even users... sure

but why would you want two?

aking 09-15-2010 12:36 PM

@ First Edition: It would be nice to access 2 ebay/paypal accounts at the same time, for label printing purposes. Like last night, I needed to ship a bunch of items sold on 3 different accounts. And I also sold a bunch of items while I was packaging up other items. So I kept having to log in and out, change user names and ip address, etc. to print labels, ya know? Not a huge deal at all, but it would save time. Like to have everything up at the same time so I can see whats going on in each account. But i dont see how thats possible without having 2 pcs as you'll need to be on 2 different ip addresses and user names simultaneously. You would have to have 2 different internet services I would think to do this.

@First Edition,,,,,I think you Misunderstood the Question,,,,,,The Question was about Having 2 WINDOWS User Accounts Open at the Same time NOT 2 Ebay Accounts at the Same time,,,,

Aking is Correct,,,you Would need 2 PC's and 2 Internet Connections,,,

First Edition 09-15-2010 03:34 PM

oh well..... I mean, you could use two computers, a KVM switch, one monitor.....

For example, I've got dial up, a mifi, a netbook with built in air card, an overdrive, and then cable broadband, and that's just in my house......

Printing shipping labels, sure it's a pain.... but the accounts are separate, it's just the labor of managing this business.

Here We Go Again 09-15-2010 04:46 PM

I have the following setup for eBay/Amazon:
1 - KVM 8way
3 - eMachines
5 - Netbooks
8 - USB Dial-Up Modems
1 - Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse

1 - Laptop PC for shipping
1 - Stamps.com Account

1 - 27" Quad Core 1Mac for my everyday business
1 - Endicia for Mac account

This is not counting the wall of External Western Digital 2TB Hard drives, printers, and other toys....

1 entire room is dedicated to the "Office"

It takes money to make money.

4 PC's ( Homemade), 1 Monitor (Samsung 25in lcd) 2 Microsoft Key board, 2 Microsoft Mouse

The Monitor Has BOTH DVI and VGA Inputs ( I Love that) So I Have 2 Pc's with one Keyboard and Mouse Setup where I use the 1 DVI Input with a Belkin Switch which is Connected to the 2 PC's,,,,,

Now I had been trying to Hookup the other 2 PC's with 1 Keyboard and 1 Mouse, using the VGA input on the Monitor,,,,Also Of Course using a VGA Monitor/Mouse/Keyboard Switch,,I have tried 3 Different Switches None Work,,,

I have Since Gotten another Monitor, Keyboard, and Mouse,,,,so Now I Have 2 Monitors 3 PC's using the Samsung Monitor and 1 PC using its Own Monitor (Vizio),,,,

It just would have been Much Neater with the 4 PC's using 1 Monitor and 2 Keyboard/Mouse Combo's
