haha... indeed it would have :)
I've got bunch of laptops... I never really see the point in a desktop anymore....

jbluntz 09-15-2010 08:35 PM

A bunch of laptops can be just as neat, I just stack em up and label each one with the AZ id then when you're ready to use one you just pull it off the stack and open it up, it looks neat to me anyway.

First Edition 09-15-2010 08:37 PM

I wouldn't stack them, unless you put some kind of spacer in for air flow.

Or do you mean stack them with the power off maybe?

oh... and I'd hate to be that laptop on the bottom :(

jbluntz 09-15-2010 08:48 PM

Yeah I turn em off before I stack em, there all old ones that cost less than $100 each, they like being stacked.

hpcpqcsco 09-16-2010 08:29 PM

Yes, that is true, it happened to me when I do lot of eBay at work :-). 1 day they limited my account because 1 guy working in there ripped people of for a couples thousand and run away. I have chat, call paypal and try to fight with it for about 1 month and give up. I'm loosing 500+ feedback account and 2 account with 300+ feedback.

Not only I got hit that time, many co-work got hit too and everyone is very piss.

That guy got fired and all the account are gone with that guy.

Does this still hold true ? What happens if i open my ebay account on a large network eg at work and it so happens someone else on the network gets suspended does that mean my account along with any other person who logs in will go down also ? It cant be just IP address must be more too it than just IP and you will get suspended, can anyone confirm ?

IDK 09-19-2010 10:28 PM

Wait, lets go back to this different accounts in different cities stuff. If you live in Florida why would you create an account that puts you in Chicago? Your IP will say different and that will raise eyebrows. Or am I missing something? If you lived in FL, you should be making accounts in Miami, Orlando, Orange County ect. Even then you are pushing it because your IP says a lot about where you are located. Has something changed? Also if I'm not mistaken, the stealth book recommends 2 new accounts a week. 10 in one week? That's insane!

lakeman 09-19-2010 10:32 PM

Ip location doesn't matter. I make accounts all over the US without problems. People go on vacation and people move. There are a few internet providers that even show you are located 200+ miles from your actual location, so it really doesn't matter.

I see, but... What do you do come ID verify time when they ask you about previous addresses? Many claim that it's all "none of the above", however I was asked about a city that I knew of because the person I used was someone I knew personally so my questions had one correct and the rest were none of the above and I was lifted over the phone. What do you do when they ask about a city you know nothing about, but they have data that shows you lived there? :pop2:

lakeman 09-19-2010 11:48 PM

I don't get that often, but when I do, "none of the above" gets me past it.

bank account QUESTION

Bought stealth. Good book. worth the money paid.

So to confirm. I need a different bank account for every new paypal I open? I see people saying they have 6 and 10 accounts? How do you keep or even get that many bank accounts? I was told I could use my old bank account, with my new paypal? But wont that link to my suspended?

How do you get access to your money with 5 bank accounts? And the 5 day waiting period? Seems like work!

First Edition 09-21-2010 09:50 PM

you cannot use an old bank account on a previous paypal with a new one without being linked

5 day waiting period? It's not a hand gun.....

Account sellers: How does one deal with having to call from a registered number that's in another state? I registered in LA, but I'm calling from Nevada, how does that fly? Same thing with faxing info. Wont EB/PP pick up on the fact that I'm not contacting them from the city that was registered? :>

Damm Right they will,,,,That is Why I always tell People to Make Their Stealth Accounts in your same area,,,For those reasons and More,,IP,,,Returns,,ect, ect,,

First Edition 09-22-2010 12:31 PM

There are a ton of ways around it...

but, if you have an LA account, why not get an LA virtual number? You've got to use your heard with some things. The limitation department picks up on things like that..... however, fax? ha, yeah right... I always upload a jpeg.

Well I'm dying to hear several. :D I also need to know for my own sake as I may be doing business with you guys in the near future, but I would rather have and open discussion about pros and cons to get other opinions and viewpoints rather than PM someone and get a potentially lop-sided opinion.

First Edition 09-25-2010 01:43 PM

The phone number won't get you shut down......

Some things are better left to PM's.
Some information should not be posted in a open forum.

I am sure you can understand this......

True, but I figure since we're in the subscribers...

I for one think using info that's not in your general area is asking for trouble. FE says it's okay, slapped agrees with me. It's a debate now lol

FE says one thing, the book says another. If he wants to PM me about it fine, but this should be common knowledge. IMO

The book says not to make an account outside of 30 miles (or something to that effect) from your location. FE says it's OK to make accounts in different states lol...

Of course some things have changed since the last book, but this makes no sense to me. I need clarification not just from FE, but others as well.

lakeman 09-25-2010 03:11 PM

I have to agree with First Edition. I make accounts all over the US without problems. IP location doesn't matter, there are a few threads that discussed this and it was said ip location doesn't matter.

People move, people go on vacation. Can't remember who, but someone has an ISP, that shows they are 300+ miles from their real location and they haven't had any problems either.

Here We Go Again 09-25-2010 03:38 PM

I use account data from all over the US.
The IP's that I use for eBay are over 500 miles from my real location.

If you guys want to talk openly about then then please start a thread in the Executive [VIP] Area.
It is a bit more secure than rest of the forum.
