My question is why is PP now keying in on this?

That's strange on an aged account, I rarely have issues with paypal, and this is with my new accounts , my older accounts , I can send thousands a week and withdrawal the same

The IP changing is not an issue as long as it was not used on one of your other accounts, I use a different ip every log in and like I said I rarely have any issues with PayPal ,

I have a two month old account where I just added 2 prepaid debit cards and a real bank account confirmed all 3 no issues, 1 when I created the account and the other 2 just a few days ago

The account is 2 months old and I made 3 withdrawals also in one day, I like to do small withdrawals just more in one day, I do not like withdrawing more than $150 at a time, the other day I withdrew $450 but did it with 3 transactions spaced out over one day and all 3 were around $150, I always do like odd numbers like 143.27 or 147.29, maybe more superstition , but I been operating for over two years many paypal accounts with almost no issues

when I emailed about my issue they took care of it, hopefully yours does too.
this seems to be paypal's new random attempt at cleaning house.
Maintain access to those phone numbers, guys!

Re: Paypal does not recognize my computer

Well I am thinking that since paypal split from ebay they are initiating their own systems to wean out the stealthers. And this is one of them.
I have found if you wait till the next day it goes away, also click on classic site on the bottom left corner before withdrawing. I have had success and no problems this way.
I am about to do work for the day so I will let you guys and gals know if there are any issues

Why do you ask that?
Cause I opened a few ally bank account in my name and my fathers and have been having huge issues with the bank itself they suspended all accounts and want us to call in. I been sick with like 5 different things the last two weeks so I havent called yet, but will soon. I just wanted to know if there is a known problem with Ally bank and I should just ask to have them all shut down or what. Not like with them having them suspended at the moment I might even have a choice of keeping them open

Are you serious? Not sure how long you have been on this forum but we have ALWAYS told people not to transfer money between accounts.....NEVER!
You better hope and pray your friends account doesn't get permanently limited.

Next time add your own BANK Account instead of trying to cut corners.

Do you have a lot of accounts with Ally? Most likely they want to question as to why you have so many, especially if there is little to no activity with them. Whenever you call, make sure not to allude that you're using this for business purposes or they'll close all your accounts for good. You will need an excuse as to why you have multiple accounts (if they're savings, I would say you have many savings goals and you're trying to save up for a new car, to remodel your kitchen, etc).

But Ally as a whole is a pretty horrible bank. Some people have success with mismatched deposits, some don't.

Re: Paypal does not recognize my computer

For one thing, the idea to send money to my friends account was hers. The problem was she has a almost new account with the 21 day hold.I sent the payment as service.
She called paypal and they said they were holding funds for week or more. That everything was fine.I told her to just refund payment because I did not want to wait since I was contacting paypal and may get this issue fixed.Maybe tomorrow.I will update my progress on this here.

Any updates guys? How much money are you all trying to withdraw? Is it very large amounts? That could be why? If so, try lowering the amounts & see if you still get the phone message.

I did a test with a $1.50 and got the message.

Re: Paypal does not recognize my computer

The minimum withdrawal is 10.00 USD though so that wouldn't have worked anyway.

Do you usually withdraw large amounts though before you tried the $1.50?

keepongoing 10-15-2014 08:36 AM

Re: Paypal does not recognize my computer

I dont think it matters at all about the amounts, it simply wont let the account withdrawl. it may be a targeted IP address/ large w/d account attack.

the account I have stuck will simply not w/d and eventually I will be emailing about them. and my other account which is nearly mirroring this account seems totally normal.

I will add on ff I was running in private browsing mode. I have the ebay and pp cookies showing but it did not auto populate my user id and this may have something to do w triggering the prompt in pp.

natbabes 10-15-2014 08:43 AM

Re: Paypal does not recognize my computer

Private browsing mode may be a factor. On my settings,
I'm not in private browsing mode & the cookies are enabled. When i put eBay & Paypal up, my user id is already automatically there, i just have to enter my password. Keep us updated:)

Not true. In the US it is $1.00. At least that's what it says on my withdraw funds page.

Oh, no worries!!! I have done tests with a dollar before too and it worked. Maybe they say it's $10 but I have had the $1 go through to my bank account too.
