Changing IP for purchased PP/eB account

Hello comrades!

Need some more advices from You.

Probably there are problems with my english, but I haven't found in stealth guide solution for this situation:
I am from Latvia, and I've purchased an PP/eB account from the UK, as I wanted. Seller gave me all info including IP that he used for this account. How can I change my Latvian IP to exactly the same IP from the UK as seller was using to avoid red flags from PP and eB?
I am not sure if it's right to use VPN, because it seems that almost all of the IP from every VPN provider has been used in PP and eB previously :)
And also I am not sure that there will be the same IP in the list that VPN provides me with.

Please help me with a good advice.

Thank You!

You cannot choose the same IP. No need to.

You need to use a well selected VPS or VPN from the UK. Just needs to be a UK IP not the exact same IP as the account seller.

Contact your seller and see what they suggest. Sometimes you can get the same IP

I agree.. you dont need the same IP.... but i would first browse, etc for a few days using your new IP and stay with that one .... and then list an item after a few days of browsing

Ok, I got it.
Thank You all.
I guess I should find a good VPN service, hoping that IP I choose wasn't used before, and start slowly.

VPNs are known to be a BAD IP solution.
There are other solutions out there so do your research.

Not totally true.

A well selected VPN can work just as well as a well selected VPS.

Since VPNs are risky its just not worth it. Its too 'hit and miss' since the vast majority of them are blacklisted.
Why bother with a VPN when there are better solutions out there?

I agree with both of You, VPN might be safe, but You have to find a good one, that wasn't used before, and it's not that easy. What do You mean by "better solutions"? :) Any examples?

VPN is not good solution now, because many IPs are in blacklist, and re-use on many times; however you can buy good VPN from good providers. I myself use proxy to log in account with the same country, not exactly IP as the account seller.

Re: Changing IP for purchased PP/eB account

And what about VPN with dedicated IP? They are saying they use "fresh" IP's.

And I say to you that last week I spent the weekend on the moon.
So I said it. So what?
They can say a lot of things none of them true.
Theyre in the business of selling you an IP address. You will never be certain if that IP address was used before or is blacklisted. Theres simply no way to know.
The ONLY certainty is that these IP addresses have seen much more traffic than other solutions offer and have most likely been used by people who just like you and I are in the ebay/paypal business. As such theyre a much riskier option.

Maybe You can tell what is Your "better solution" as You've mentioned before? :) I am sure most of the users won't be disappointed :)

sloker uses dialup. Yes dialup.

slokor 10-28-2014 03:41 PM

Re: Changing IP for purchased PP/eB account

That's right.
I use dial up - mainly.
Then again I create accounts for sale so you cannot compare me to your average user.
Would you prefer I create the accounts I sell with the highest degree of safety (i.e. dial up) or the lowest safety (i.e. VPN)?
I think to me the answer is pretty obvious.
As for safe methods - people keep rehashing those. Tethering, MiFi, Resetting your cable modem and cloning your MAC address to get a new IP address - are all good ways of doing things. Take a couple of minutes to get a new IP and another 5 seconds to write down that new IP address for your records.

Re: Changing IP for purchased PP/eB account

Maybe I don't understand something, but how can I use dial up here in Latvia to change IP to UK one?
I will need to use my UK account from here.

slokor 10-28-2014 04:34 PM

Re: Changing IP for purchased PP/eB account

You cannot use dial up - obviously.
Youll need to look at other methods.
The methods discussed above apply to US accounts operated within the US.

How can I be sure, if I bought well selected VPN? It's like lottery :)

Re: Changing IP for purchased PP/eB account

Anyone that says a VPN is horrible and cannot be used for amazon/ebay stealth usage, simply has no idea of how a VPN works. Almost all major businesses use VPN for security purposes, but lets not even get into that. Lets keep it simple lets talk facts, why would you listen to anything i have to say about VPNs? Well maybe because I've used a VPN for just about every single account I ever made for myself for personal usage or sold on this forum, and considering I'm the oldest seller on here at about 4 years now, you can just imagine how many accounts that is.

For anyone that wants to understand more about VPNs and why it gets an undeserved bad rep on this forum by a few people, read my post here it goes into detail:

http://www.aspkin.com/forums/subscri...tml#post575553

Again to clarify I'm not recommending everyone gets a VPN and starts using VPN, I'm just saying its a viable solution that works. Is it the best solution for you? IDK you have to figure that out for yourself based on your needs, I'm just tired of seeing people shoot down anyone asking about VPNs and telling them its the worse idea ever, just because you do not use it doesn't mean its not the best solution for that person, etc.

Re: Changing IP for purchased PP/eB account

This again...
I respect your (123's) opinion on the matter. VPNs work for him. All the power to him.
My opinion on the matter is that VPNs are too risky. Like some folks asked - how do you know you got a reputable VPN service? And how can you be certain that youre not being fed a recycled IP address - like one of the thousands of addresses '123' himself used? The bottom line is theres no way to be certain cause they wont offer you that information before selling you the IP address.
To me that implies added risk as a result of the possibility of getting an IP address that was already used.
Not to mention the fact that certain admins on this very forum have stated theyre able to 'see' when someone is using a VPN. If they can then ebay and paypal certainly can.
I prefer reduced risk so I go with other methods.
Tethering, Mi Fi, Modem resetting - are all viable options that will cost less than a VPN service and are les risky - again - in MY opinion.
If you don't mind the added risk then a VPN is an option.
That's MY opinion on it and I don't care to hear what people's 'opinion' of my 'opinion' is. You can disagree with MY opinion and voice your own but be respectful of mine as well please.
