dialup questions

i got dialup setup with centurylink and it seems like i can only dial in access numbers that are local to my area. I paid for unlimited long distance calling and when i try dialing in access numbers that are in a different state it keeps giving me error 676 phone line is busy....you guys have any ideas?

usually if you pay fo unlimited long distance calling on a landline shouldn't you be able to dial in access numbers across the country?

Must be a problem with the dial up service youre using then.
I myself use EarthLink and BasicISP and have never had an issue.

nevermind, i found out what was the issue. I have to dial "1" before dialing long distance......
