Mobile hotspot with phone that had ebay & paypal app on it? Problem?

So I am looking at using my phone as a mobile hotspot for an eBay Stealth account.

However, I have previously had the ebay and paypal apps installed on there and have logged into my blocked accounts with them before. Is this going to cause a problem if I use this for new stealth accounts and have the IP address change every time? Is there some way for ebay to identify my device/phone number now?

Once the apps are removed off your phone there is no way for them to retrieve any data. Just to sure to uninstall them before use. Is strongly advised not to use those apps in the future.

I still have the eBay app on my iPhone and I cycle through 6 accounts and haven't had a problem yet.

People go over Niagara Falls....some die and some survive....doesn't mean we should all try it! Point is that some people "HAVE" been linked with the App and that is enough for us to tell people NOT to use it.

Why take the risk? Delete it. There's nothing that app will do for you that you can't do just as well or better on your browser.

I was planning on deleting it and not installing it again, just didn't know if the fact that it was already on there would cause problems.

That will cause a problem for sure.

If you read the terms of service before you download, you are agreeing to give them access all types of identifying information in your phone and that included your phone.

That included you phones device Id number, so when you log in, even if the app has been removed and then re-installed, they will know it is you!

I know this because I have been selling smartphones for years. I can take them apart, repair them, flash them and more.

Trust me.

Just read what you are allowing them access to once right before you agree to download.

They will know your phone number, device Id, and imei and all.

Speaking as someone who uses his phone as a mobile hotspot DAILY, NO, it will not cause problems AS LONG AS THE APP IS DELETED FROM YOUR PHONE.

I can't say for sure whether having the app installed would cause problems or not, as I deleted it long ago. But I CAN say for sure that having once installed it will NOT allow eBay to "track" you via IP from mobile hotspot. Anyone who says otherwise is full of horse crap.
