DHL Shipment time WARNING

My DHL shipment has been in the same spot in China for 2-3 days. Usually my DHL packages will depart to multiple locations in China within the same day.

My supplier explained that DHL is already going to start slowing down because they're starting to look at packages more. Said that packages will now take 7 days (instead of normal 3-5 days) and in a month or so, packages will start to take 8-10 days.

Just a warning to all members that use DHL. I know this is unavoidable during the Christmas time but this is WAYYY sooner than I expected.

From your experience, does Fedex/UPS/USPS priority express have bad delays during christmas time?

You are just getting over a week long China holiday. You will have backups for a couple more weeks.

Yes it did.

It will be a couple more weeks until things flow normally.

I had 8,800 pieces ship october 1st. Cost me an extra $1.6 per killo to ship. That was approximately $4400.00 extra in shipping on an order that was only $28,840

If it was not so urgent I would have waited until the 8th.

Imagine how many companies did not ship at all until the 8th and what log that took.

To me it was. I had a deadline of October 12th. It was either make $6600.00 compared to $10,000 or make nothing at all. No brainer.

Just so you know, I had a DHL package leave last night and has already cleared customs in Cincinnati This morning.

You know, I am not a fan of DHL and will not use them for high quanity of packages but on a single package 1-2 days is pretty common.

It IS true that packages get delayed during the holidays, but a lot of times suppliers run low on inventory and blame it on DHL. Last Christmas, I had boxes coming in during December that only took six days to get here.

This may be something new, however. About once a year, Chinese Customs cracks down on everything, but then it all goes back to normal.

I'm not having any delays from Taiwan using DHL. 2 days shipping from start to delivery to a small size city.

Yea China is another story... Just wait if Trump becomes president... The China game could totally change in no time.
