So you have 1000 non stealthers who have never sold on ebay or used paypal before decide after seeing all the ads on telly by ebay that they have some junk at home to sell.

So they think that's great, could do with the extra cash.

So they sign up to ebay and then paypal and list there items to sell that day.

Do you think they age their accounts? Do they say to themselves no, I need to build up cookies for 2 months before I sell? No of course they don't. That would be illogical.

Don't say it is irrelevant because they wouldn't use Entropay because many nowadays do, and other card options.


What a normal 'non-stealther' WOULDN'T think is 'Oh I need to age this account'. Completely unsound thought process if you are the source of the account and totally unneccessary.

The evidence I have seen suggest the issue is only with brand spanking new stealths. I have no issues with older stealths with entropay.

Yes dear, and they will all us genuine details at genuine addresses and have genuine phone numbers AND SO WILL PASS THE ALGORITHM SCORE.

It's this simple.

You are not passing the algorithm score.

Fix your methods and entropay will be fine.

Are you suggesting paypal are now running electronic I.D checks in the first few days of a stealths life ? Please confirm what you mean 'genuine details' at genuine addresses.

Just to add, I had my business account limited and was asked for bank statement, uploaded at around 2am everything lifted by around 3am. Made out the entro card was a lloyds card, happy to help anyone needing it.

Keep thinking the cause of the issue highlighted in my original post is others 'shoddy methods' though and not a seismic shift in how paypal are dealing with many (not all) new entropay based stealths.

Those of us that have been around for a while have seen all these come and go several times.

The last time I had a conversation like this, people were insisting that PayPal were credit-checking everyone that opened an account.

They were just as sure as you that it was a 'seismic' shift.

People that are having problems with entropay:

Are you confirming the card with the ~£1.30 charge which is refunded (this stage is after you have verified your bank account). If not, are you using the card to make a purchase on eBay (even a tiny one, ~£1-3?

I think this move by PayPal to reduce entropay on their site MIGHT BE more to do with stopping scam buyers than stealth sellers.

If you've ever listed a nigh value item like an iPhone, you'd know how many emails you get from scammers. Even with my buyer requirements set to maximum, I sit and watch the end of my high value items to delete the obvious scammers, they are passing the credit card requirements somehow.

If you set up a new PayPal account without a bank account but with entropay, you won't look like a legitimate seller to PayPal, you would have a bank account.
