Default MC019 Ebay Violation- its killing me!

I think theres a specific member who has it in for me,

Dear XXXXXX(XXXXXXXXXXXXX),

Thank you for your recent listing on eBay. Unfortunately, we removed the following item(s):

3204126xxxxx - Star Trek Voyager All Seasons 1-7 New Sealed
3204126xxxxx- New Baby Einstein 26 DVD Giftset
3204126xxxxx - New Sex & The City Pink Complete Series Boxset

The following information may help explain the reason for your listing(s) removal:

Copyright infringement is unlawful and against eBay's policies. Copyright is the protection provided by law to the authors of creative works, such as movies, music, software, photographs and books, both published and unpublished. Copyright owners possess the exclusive right to reproduce the copyrighted work, to distribute copies of the copyrighted work, and to perform or display the copyrighted work publicly.

eBay prohibits the listing of unauthorised copies of copyrighted works. Unauthorised copies include (but are not limited to) backup, pirated, duplicated, or bootlegged copies.

Guideline: If the product you are selling is a copy of another work that you aren't authorised to copy, don't list the item. Listing unauthorised copies of copyrighted material infringes upon the copyright of the rights owner.

This may include hard disks pre-loaded with unauthorised copies of media (including software, movies, or music). "Hard disk loading" occurs when software is loaded onto a computer, often as an incentive to increase the value, without an accompanying license agreement, manual, or documentation.

Photocopies of media (including books, textbook solution manuals and teacher's manuals) are not permitted on eBay.

You can sell products on recordable media (such as VHS tapes, audio tapes, CD-Rs, and DVD-Rs). However, your listing needs to state that you are the copyright owner or a licensed reseller, and you can prove it if requested to do so.

For more information visit the following Help page:

Recordable Media

For more information visit the following Help page:

Replica, Counterfeit Items and Unauthorized Copies

-I've gotten all 13 of my items removed, i dont see a vero bolding anywhere so i assume its another ebay member who has it in for me. Any help would be amazing

I would recommend you edit your post to remove your email and ebay ID.

You are either being reported or there is something in your item description that is dodgy and being flagged.

You are being reported most likely by another seller.

There is nothing there that I can see that would flag you.

Make sure you state they are genuine (I assume that they are) and the region, use prefilled item info if it is available, take your own pics.

And get on to live help and ask for specifics about exactly why they got pulled before you relist.

If your items actually made it to the point of being searchable.... i.e. you can put the title in the search box and the item comes up then it would have most likely been another seller and yes I believe it is an automated take down (Ebay likes to air on the side of caution).

If they never made it to that point then it is something to do with your listing or account that is causing the problem.

Either way get on to live help before you list again.

I don't put my id on pics either... long as they are not stock pics that is all good.

Region as in are they R1 DVDs (the US/Canadian standard). If they are not (especially if they are R0) that could be your problem.

There is no rights issue with selling mainstream released DVDs as long as they are genuine (and a release of your own country - there can be issues with selling cross boarder releases).

DVDs are my bread and butter and I never have take-downs for rights issues.

Bear in mind my info is based on my experiences in the UK.

It is a very competative area to sell in - especially box sets.

Someone is obviously trying to reduce the competition for themselves.

Just luck probably.... and I would say having a more established account helps.

I only sell on BIN with instant payment required.

The best thing to do is get on to live help, assure them the items are genuine and get back to selling.

You will become less vulnerable to this kind of thing as you get more selling history.

I took the liberty of looking at your Ebay history and I notice you recently sold some high value branded items - this may have raised some flags on your account. Again this could make you more vunerable in the short term.

That's fine then - just wait for the reply and if you don't get anything back that makes sense keep on till you get the answer you require.

There's been a huge takedown on DVD lately. Competitors or kids are targeting you.

Change description, take new pictures, word them all differently, mention they are authentic and legit, and list on different accounts.

what do you mean having different accounts has them suspended quickly?

Using stealth accounts they won't get suspended unless you link them somehow.

Just take things slowly. I think you are trying to do to much to soon.

Your account is well aged but doesn't have much selling feedback yet.

And the DVD sets you mentioned are quite high value.

I would build some history with lower value DVDs to start with. Then start slipping in the collections. It will make you less of a target.

To be honest if I was browsing as a buyer I would look at your selling history and think possible scammer and others may be doing the same and reporting your.

That's because newer members have not been targeted by COMPETITORS yet.

Your listings are taken down by a "concerned" eBAY member. This is not a VeRO violation, eBAY did not take it down on its own. Someone is targeting YOU! Someone, or many people, probably bookmarked your selling page and report any listing you make, because it works. eBAY takes anything down that is reported as counterfeit unless the listing makes it 100% absolutely certain it is not...

Try re-selling the same stuff with a new stealth account, start slow, with NEW PICS, NEW DESCRIPTION, and NEW WORDING! Don't copy/paste the old description, it will link you.

When you are reported by multiple different IDs from different IPs on the same day, eBay will also take it seriously in certain categories.

vero is the issue anyway, regardless, that is the excuse being used to take you down, you need to email ebay with receipts of where you get them from, as long as it is a legit looking supplier, if its not legit looking supplier eg china, make a doc with temp number (you can get certain ones free) that you can answer. These are highly copies inc boxsets, so its the only way to stop this...

I hate these nasty competitor tactics...
