I think I know what you are selling. I quit the software game a couple 10 months ago. Yes it can sell without adding the companies name to the title. You make want to get back in, but I'll leave that area to you.(For Now)

regarding the MC019 that is not from vero member, its just a random reporting....does submitting receipt to ebay help with it?

do they want a close up copy of it with all info, or will a blurry copy do?

HI all

I'll be soon listing VERo item(s). The items were selling well but I had to stop selling them cos of MC019 email. Per your advise I let the account cool for 3 months where the notification will expire. What do you recommend me doing next, shall I start selling on the same account or shall I dedicate a stealth account for it or even 2 stealth accounts.

Thanks

^^^ spread it on several accounts, and let it rest for 3 months if taken down....do not re-stock with a problematic item...

Unfortunately 3 months is no longer enough. If you go to your Seller Dashboard on My Ebay, and then click on Policy Compliance, you will see that your account will be clear of such violation after... 12 months! We now have to leave the accounts to cool off for a whole year now, not 3 months anymore.

And to make it worse, the alerts in My Messages last for... 18 months! It's incredible, and I think that this means that this is my end on eBay. Three months was something that I could live with, but letting the accounts rest for a whole year is ruining my business and I just can't help it. I will have to find a job because I can't make my living off eBay anymore. Sales are a disaster and the VeRO program is destroying my business. It was good while it lasted.

Btw, I had one MC019 today, but two different eMails appear on my My Messages. My policy compliance is Yellow/Medium. How many MC019's can an account afford before getting into a risky field?

Anyone know if you can get a vero takedown AFTER the listing has ended? Say you sell something between 5pm and 10pm (when a vero is not as active) then around 10pm you end the listing... will the vero still report you AFTER the listing has ended? Any input or success stories?

vero is such ass, i lost a 3600 feedback account back in '04 from my father selling god damn world of warcraft gold. back when wow gold was worth money. Pissed me off, heh I have a low compliance account that i use now, i just recently got tagged for a 7 day suspension. My girlfriend saw all the money i was making... and decided she wanted to get in on it.. (annoying) So i listed 1 of the mac 120 palettes for her. sure enough god damn estee lauder as usual around 8:30 am pops on and reports it... They got me a few months ago for the mac brush sets, i've recently found some ways around it, i believe they search popular terms/categories, so i put in obscure categories now. With a 1200 verified premiere business paypal account i've been able to dodge some stuff. But, it's getting scary. So now i don't list any new moneymakers that i am unsure of on that account. Estee lauder apparently uses popular counterfeit searches, like "120 palette" and "32 brush set" etc... but then sometimes, i see people on there selling the palettes and getting $125 >< i dunno why they don't get taken off.

Another i saw recently is they spam the "tm" after each word, what is up with that? does that throw off the automated vero search programs?

Another is they spell mac "MACs" with an S? Does the S throw the vero train off it's track?

I have noticed several Seasoned Sellers finding ways to avoid the watch dogs..
Take this item: 190184531276
It is a BLANK paper,,,, wholesale cost $20-- this seller has bidded up to $330 already..
He has:
a.) Placed a diff photo in the gallery--thus avoiding the Gibney + Assoc photo browsing
b.) NOT listed in the Jewelry/watches/wristwatches category--but a diff category
>> IF Rolex usa does not take the vero down, then ebay would have with their "Encouraging" policy..
This Seller has avoided BOTH.. You can use these SAME principals for your LEGIT items, that the Vero owners just dont want in the publics hands..
This is a good tactic, but you're kind of killing yourself in a while b/c most buyers browse the gallery photos as well. So if you have a different photo in the gallery, true you are hiding from vero rights owners, but you're also hiding from potential buyers.

Does anyone do (a)? If so, did this affect sales at all?
