Default Running a legit account on eBay, but got a problem

I got a question.

I have a medium policy issue. It says it will get cleared August 8th. I have an item up now, with the cheapest price, and fast shipping.

I have feedback of 47 with 100 percent positive feedback. My DSR's are almost all 5.0. My account is almost 4 years old, but only been an active seller for a few months.

My limits are 200 items or 10,000 dollars a month.

I'm near the 7th or 8th place as of now in best match. The only thing the competition has over me is that they have more feedbacks.

Do you guys know if as soon as my violation gets cleared on August, they will bring me up higher. Or does it still leave a stain?

Because this is a legit account, but I did sell a few VERO items a few months ago. But other than that, everything is good and legal.

Also I got a call lately from eBay for marketing purposes, and the rep told me I was doing "a good job" and complimented my shipping time.

Am I better off making a new account clean with new everything? I'm not going to sell any more VERO items on this account.

ebay reps lie. Dont hold your breath on their veracity.

Now to business..... your account is marked. It will continue to be 'marked' although your dashboard may look clear.

Funnily earlier today I read a post by imjustme where he made a comment about this very topic and how the violation still damages best match/ranks etc./

There will be a chorus of make more accounts. This is wise. But do not abandon an account with legit info. Nuture this very carefully for a happy selling future.

Ball is in your hands to do this.

As I mentioned above, the post I read by imjustme is Post 4 in the thread.
Thread gives info on the basics of your scenario. ( to a degree)

I saw that thread.

"Accounts with policy violations will have their listings dropped down the search results for up to 6 months from when the violation happened."

So he is saying after August where my violation will be cleared, my rankings would be back to normal?

But my account would still be marked as you say right? They could still see that I had a violation on their computers.

Logical to safely assume that your rankings go back up but violations can always be seen.

The violation will be on record forever - even once it is cleared. That won't help your ratings at all. Best thing to do is once it clears keep delivering the good service and hope Ebay loosens up. If not, time to start on a fresh slate, perhaps a new account.

I am new but have a similar issue it amazes me how a Top rated Plus Power seller with a perfect account other one than one minor violation, is punished so severely.

Best Match is still the default for many buyers, I have seen my listings go from first or second page to page 14, on some items, effectively killing my business completely, waiting 60 days, is not an acceptable solution.
