Red face How would one handle this?

I have one account that they have as "registration blocked". The reason was snp. I had a month where there were some personal issues that really just made me put ebay on the back burner. shipping that is. Most of the complaints were from international people anyway that didnt care that the time frame for 1st class was listed as "varies" on the USPS site. Anyway, I have the following: 604 feedback. with the last 12 months listed as 515 pos, 8 neutral and 9 neg.
item as described 4.9
communication 4.6
shipping time 3.9
Shipping/Handling charges 4.7 (floors me when shipping was free)

I couldnt get anyone to change their feedback's since they have no reason to when I cannot give them anything bad.

Most of my customer were fine as I told them a hospital stay for my wife was the issue and I was taking care of it as best I could. Most of my feedback says things like I hope your wife gets better, good luck, etc. Anyway, I told ebay this as well. Now they say send in your hospital paperwork and they will "possibly" take this into consideration. I have somewhat given up on it but after reading this forum a bit, feel like there is a chance here. I emailed ebay again after that and they just told me that I was told to fax the hospital documents prior and that would be my way to deal with this.. Of course they mention it is not a sure thing.

I want to get away from that BS since I made it up in the 1st place but now what do I do? should I send them the long letter like some have mentioned about how I love ebay and they are the best,. this and that? Then tell them I will never do it again and have taken steps to make sure my shipping is on time?? Thanks
