Default How do you even appeal?

I got a suspension a couple of months back and I have not even seen an option to appeal. There are no appeal emails or chats, and when I called, they told me they couldn't help me "with that".

Given how easy it is to get banned, a stealth account is a must but what are my options for reinstating my old accounts, if any?

What happened was I had a couple of legit accounts. Been around eBay for years, all Top Rated and Powerful, with close to 800 positive and 1 negative on one account, and nearly 1000 positive and a couple of negatives on another. All was well but then, there was a massive shirtstorm here in NY last winter so a whole bunch of my shipments were late with no updates on tracking. As I sold lots of cheap items daily, that meant lots of complaints. I addressed each one, refunds left and right, but got banned permanently of course at 97% on one of my accounts (and the rest were shut down with it)

Since then, eBay has been freaking taunting me, I swear. They are sending me emails saying how great I am doing. They gave my main account Top Rated status again recently, who knows why. They even just yesterday congratulated me on my anniversary selling on eBay.

Come to think of it, eBay and Amazon, as a business is quite insane.

yes those are automated emails, they are not taunting you hehe....

just email them back, saying you are appealing? see if you get a reply and go from there....

worth a try, but do not spend too much effort on it to be honest...

So there is no known, proper way to appeal a suspension? I keep hearing about people appealing. I guess it depends on the wording of the suspension email.

had.... had a account I used to mostly buy for 15 years. I haven't used it for over 6 months , today it was suspended??? called the phone number, they cannot discuss it and I cannot appeal it???? " I am risky""" less than 500 buys and 10 sells in all those years. and I had a $1.60 credit sitting there I never took cuz I was going to do some more listings one day.. 100% feedback

didn't use it in 6 months,

amazing, have no idea what triggered this

the user id was a great one such I had a few offers to sell it over the years, could a insider be doing this to get the id, or is it dead forever

There is hope, I have done it.

You need set out your case, point by point.
DO NOT email them, waste of your time.
Call them and call them and call them and badger them until they listen to you and then ask them to send off the appeal themselves.
Do this through normal customer services not the section for suspended accounts.
If you have a UK account - get through to Ireland team not the guys in Philipines.

But you must have good reasons.
Get the Stealth Book also

Appeals are important, especially if it is your first!

I got lucky and had 3 appeals and the 4th got me banned :(

From the start, if you get a chance to appeal, do it RIGHT. Answer all questions an dprovide FULL details. Give examples of recent cases from AZ and explain what happened, what youre doing to fix it, and prove it cannot happen again.
In hind sight, if you look at it, MOST issues could have been resolved if you handedl the matter right the first time.

For me, returns is what got me killed. I hated when customers wanted to return an item. I now just eat the cost and make the customer happy. Much better to lose a few hundred dollars a month (or less really) than to risk losing it ALL for something so minuscule.
