Entropay, Need a card that i can keep topping up and and pay for the services im using. any suggestions?

Some really bad information going around here based on this account.

1. It works perfectly for mismatch names with PayPal - period.
2. £2k per month is NOT automatically increased, they increase it based on trust with you.
3. You WILL at some point receive an email with a load of questions from them asking what you intend doing with the account - if you say eBay sales expect to be supply them with supplier info, receipts, invoices etc.
4. They are not intended for business but if you do say you selling services / goods they do not turn around and close the account or 'stop doing business with you'
5. £10k per month eventually is across the board. £2k is the starting limit, it does vary per customer but you do have to build up to the £10k per month so hitting your current limit you have is vital otherwise it just will not increase.

Not everyone does though it's down to you as a person - I know others who have these who have had to build up to that over a couple of months.

I tried to withdraw funds to bank and got requested with ID, which I supplied. Now I have been asked to show screenshots of the Ebay/Paypal accounts I have sold from to get these funds. Will be sending these in now.

So does that mean they will ask for invoices after this step?

Did you withdraw a lot at once?

The Uaccount. Did you get the account in your details by passing the checks or did they ask you send in documents before opening an account for you?

I tried to withdraw £2000... :(

James - I did pass the checks and did not send in any docs before opening the account.

ive only heard of people withdrawing around £500 alright without this issue.

£2000 in the first withdrawal is a lot of money. I am not surprised they want to do a harder check on your

You really need to build up to things a bit slower going forward

I know - a stupid thing to do in hindsight. That should have been £20 not £2000.

Not really a problem to be honest - I was talking to someone the other day who received a higher limit although not the £10k limit we mention and withdrew £3800 first withdrawal with no issues.

Getting down to it, at some point you will receive the 'questionnaire'... doesn't matter amounts and when you do it.

You have to do the screenshot process for most of the prepaid now, eccount being the main one for it before you even start trading.

They are going to be able to see that the payments are coming from PayPal when you start getting them so I would tell them the truth, but just tell them its your personal eBay account not that it will be a fully fledged all guns blazing eBay account

James, what if they are asking about 3 separate payments into 3 different additional accounts (the extra accounts you can add with them)?

So they obviously know there are 3 different ebay accounts then?

well they will cause they can see the different paypal names you have.

You just need to be honest with them and tell them that you do run x number of eBay accounts, then explain to them you do it for easy of stock management. At least that is what I would say

do they carry out credit check? Also if I.D is required, what type off paperwork would they require?

WHAT IF I HAVE BEEN MADE BANKRUPT?
The U Account is designed for everybody. We don't do credit checks and don't judge people based on how much money they have.

If you've been made bankrupt, you're still welcome to apply for a U Account (as long as you're over 18 and living at a UK address).

Just an FYI.

Whilst they dont do a credit check, since they wont be offering you any credit related services, they will do an electronic check to establish your identity.

If that fails, they'll ask for the usual information to confirm who you are.

Yep, it's a soft credit check that they run

Same as when someone applies for say car insurance. It doesn't effect your score but it will be visible to you that they have run a search

1/ Which major bank does uaccount bank through?

OK, found they bank thru Barclays

2/ Can you deposit cheques into the account?

EDIT:
"No, we don't have the facility to pay cheques into a U Account."

can you setup uaccount if you stay in Scotland? as unable to create password when trying to setup.

Doubt the password issue is down to where you live.
