Will adding a VAT number to your account link ebay to your real details?
I have read previous posts on this, but have not got a satisfactory answer.
I'm aware that if I add a VAT number to my account I've previously used on banned accounts will get linked, but I've never used a VAT number on an account before so it is a fresh number on EBay. Can Ebay get my real name and address which ARE banned from a different account just from the VAT number that my real name and address are linked to? Can Ebay actually use my VAT number and check my details add up by contacting HMRC or other websites?
Thanks

Have you used that company details on any ebay account
Re: Will adding a VAT number to your account link ebay to your real details?
I've never used the VAT number before as Ive never reached the VAT threshold, but the my VAT addressdetails are linked to a suspended account from 2009, too many DNR cases from that cold winter when the post was delayed for weeks at a time, so unfair :O(

Regardless of whether used or not, I would avoid it.
Just spread your sales over multiple accounts. If this goes down, for whatever reason (another cold winter etc.), then your not at risk of losing it all, again.
