Default Dilemma about Device using for Stealth

Hi,
So after creating my first Stealth Account with everything needed a friend of mine suggested that I could use her address, will set up a bank account etc in return for selling some of her stuff. Seems a perfect situation as she will have the ID and docs needed and I trust her 100%

So with the account, I originally set up using an Android Pad and Data Sim Card could I possibly use this Android Pad again if I totally hard reset it and change the Sim Card to register a new eBay account with my friend's details?

Regards
Etienne

Does your friend have an eBay or PayPal?

She is also going to need to look into the tax implications if you are running everything under her name

Yeah, she does but only for purchasing stuff. Will that cause a problem?

I won't be selling as a business though, just stuff I own and want rid off.

Depends if you used a browser or an android APP.

If you used android APP do not use it again to setup another account, i have heard they can link via the device still.

If it is the browser you used it will be fine.

Never used the APP, always through the Google Browser

It could be an issue yes

The accounts would be linked. If either you or your friends account gets limited so will the other

You are also only allowed 2 PayPal accounts. One business and one personal

It doesn't matter if its not a business, its still a taxable income in the eyes of HMRC i'm afraid.

Blimey, when I was selling on eBay before I had at least 3 personal selling accounts for eBay and Paypal and was never questioned about them.

So selling your own 'used' personal belongings is classed as a business for tax purposes?

The more and more I read of Stealth for eBay/Paypal it seems hardly worth doing

HMRC have clamped down on private sellers a lot recently on eBay. You really would need to see if you would be liable for tax or not

You can run several accounts that is fine, but if they are all linked together then if 1 has an issue so would the others. Thats just the way eBay and PayPal operate
