Re: Banks closed - asking for proof of payments
Halifax, Lloyds & TSB are by far the worst banks to use for stealth I’ve found in the UK although some on this forum will beg to differ, I’ve had all 3 accounts shut down money frozen last year.
Best thing to do is take your I.d. And proof of address in and any invoices you may have for the items you’ve sold from a supplier also a print out of your stealth PayPal account and tell them your using your freinds account, they weren’t to happy that I was anyway I stated they no longer live in the country because the eBay account had good history/feedback it was easier just to sell on my freinds account and your not allowed to link your own PayPal account to your freinds because PayPal won’t allow it.
Show them you purchase invoices your I.D etc you may have to login into the stealth PayPal in front of them I had to do this I came back the next day with my laptop to prove I had full access to the PayPal account and eBay account. It took some time and arguing with all 3 banks but eventually they handed over my money in form of cash.
My advice to you is if it’s not much like under £1000 then I would just leave it but this is entirely your decision mine was over £13k total in all 3 bank accounts therefore I could just not leave it anyway I’m now permenatley band from all 3 of these banks as there all part of the same group owned by HBOSS.
