How long does an ebay ban last?

I had some toasted genuine ebay accounts due to the long delivery delays caused by the WInter storm of 2009. I don't remember them saying it was a lifelong ban. Is is safe to try creating an account with genuine details on a different ip, computer etc Or will it be a waste of time? Paypal seems to let me back on now for 2 years, as my paypal was limited in 2010 too.

If you've moved since then, you probably wouldn't have any issues starting a new genuine account.

If not you may by linked back to old account. I can't say for sure.
